Miley Cyrus Stalker Convicted Of Trespassing & Resisting Arrest

The intruder who was arrested armed with scissors on the property of singer Miley Cyrus last month has been convicted with trespassing.

Police responded to a 911 call on September 7, 2012 after Jason Luis Rivera scaled the tall fence surrounding Miley’s property to gain access.

The 40-year-old was found guilty of trespassing and resisting arrest on Thursday and could face up to 18 months in jail during sentencing.

Rivera was charged with two misdemeanor counts of trespassing and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest in September.

He was ordered to stay 500 yards away from the singer and her home.

Rivera had been sitting in Miley’s garden lighting candles and refused to leave, although Miley Cyrus wasn’t at home at the time of the incident.

The man claimed he was a friend of Miley’s and at first refused to leave the property. An officer entered the property and threatened to taser him, before he finally came out with his hands up.

“I’m a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. Me and Miley have been friends for five years”, the man stated.

Police officers questioned Rivera and found a large pair of scissors in his back pocket.
