Alec Baldwin’s accused stalker is speaking out about the actor’s accusations, claiming she can prove she had a relationship with the “30 Rock” star.
Genevieve Sabourin, a Canadian actress, was arrested in April 2012 after showing up outside Baldwin’s New York City home uninvited.
Baldwin claimed he enjoyed a night out with the 40-year-old actress in 2010 but was later bombarded with emails and unwelcome visits.
Alec, who is now married to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, is trying to reach an out of court settlement with Genevieve to avoid a trial after a Manhattan Criminal Court judge refused her attorney’s request to toss out the charges.
Genevieve has now agreed to discuss the situation with Alec Baldwin.
Sabourin told “Entertainment Tonight” Canada she was in love with the actor and that the feeling was mutual, stating, “It was love, for me it was love… I felt it. I don’t think it could be a one-way thing.”
She claims she was only looking for closure on the relationship when she was arrested outside of Alec’s home, saying, “I’m not crazy, I’m not a stalker.
Sabourin adds, “How come I have his cell phone number? How come I know he’s got a scar… on his bikini line that is round?”
Genevieve said the allegations against her stem from a “misunderstanding” and that she hasn’t been able to retrieve Facebook correspondence with the actor to prove her claims.
“When I saw that he had begun seeing someone else, I decided to cancel our friendship on Facebook, and because of that I lost the entire content of our conversations,” she adds.
