Director Oliver Stone Loves Ecstasy & Marijuana

Moviemaker Oliver Stone has opened up about his drug use in a new interview even revealing what drugs he likes and the ones he avoids.

Stone said he doesn’t take anti-depressants anymore but uses Ecstasy and the hallucinogenic juice from rubber tree plants.

“I believe the grass (marijuana) is God’s gift,” Stone said. “California makes the best in the world now…All my life I’ve been doing it, off and on. I can stop marijuana…I’m not addicted. I enjoy it. I also enjoy alcohol.

“Cocaine, I stay away from, but I believe in LSD, mescaline, mushrooms, ayahuasca. You ever heard of ayahuasca? It’s a very strong juice that comes from the rubber trees. Ecstasy is great, too.”

But Stone doesn’t like taking prescription drugs, explaining, “I’ve taken medication, but it doesn’t work for me. I’m not a Prozac person anymore; I’ve already taken too much of that. I feel you have to confront it (depression) on a spiritual basis.”

Stone recently directed the film “Savages” based on Don Winslow’s best-selling novel. The crime drama will feature Blake Lively, Taylor Kitsch, Trevor Donovan and John Travolta. The movie hits theaters on July 6.
