Singer Demi Lovato has signed on to be a judge on “X Factor” alongside Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.
Demi and Britney will be making the announcement today at FOX’s Upfront event for advertisers today in New York.
There’s no word so far on what Demi’s contract is worth, but Britney is rumored to have landed herself a $15 million contract for her judging position.
Britney and Demi will be replaceing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who were fired after low ratings on last year’s series.
Insiders previously revealed Spears wanted Lovato to join her on the series.
The source said, “Britney is extremely hopeful that Demi will become one of the judges because she truly admires her. Britney loves how open and honest Demi has been with her fans. She thinks they have a lot in common and that they would have great chemistry on the show.”
Demi, 19, has been making her comeback after being admitted to rehab in 2010 for an eating disorder, cutting, and depression.
