Wow! This is pretty hilarious but sad for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino! Fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch is offering to pay “The Situation” not to wear their brand!
It appears as if “t-shirt time” on “Jersey Shore” won’t include Abercrombie & Fitch!
A&F feels that Mike Sorrentino’s wearing of their fashion line isn’t good for business and is offering him money not to wear their clothing! Ouch!
“We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans,” Abercrombie & Fitch said in a statement.
“We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the producers of MTV’s ‘The Jersey Shore’ to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.”
It wasn’t long ago that fashion lines were scrambling to have the reality stars wear their merchandise. It’s pretty sad when they offer to pay you not to wear their clothes!
