Actress Elisha Cuthbert has opened up about her fears in doing a comedy acting role for the new ABC series “Happy Endings”.
Elisha Cuthbert, who is known for her sexy role in “The Girl Next Door” and as Kim Bauer on “24”, has now moved on to try her hand at comedy on “Happy Endings”.
In the new ABC series, Cuthbert will star alongside Eliza Coupe and Adam Pally.
“Happy Endings” is a modern romantic comedy that follows a group of six close friends. Elisha’s character calls off her wedding at the last minute, “totally disrupting the group dynamic”.
Elisha, 28, admits she was a bit nervous to work on a comedy show, saying, “I had some anxiety because most of my work on television had been with 24, and I was used to that element. Once I got on the set, I felt like this was a good place for me. I felt comfortable”. Cuthbert describes her role as an “honest take on a girl in her late 20’s, early 30’s going through life at that time”.
“Happy Endings” premieres on ABC tonight at 9:30 PM.
