Actor Mel Gibson turned himself in for booking in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Mel Gibson, 55, turned himself in to the police station in El Segundo on Wednesday evening, where he was booked for misdemeanor battery charges against his ex-girlfriend and baby-mama Oksana Grigorieva.
The actor had to skip out on the premiere of his new flick “The Beaver” in order to deal with his legal problems.
Authorities said that Mel was being “pleasant” as they took his mugshot photo, fingerprints, and recorded his information.
Gibson arrived at the police station at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and was released thirty minutes later.
The booking record described Gibson as 5-feet-10 and 190 pounds.
Sergeant Dean Howard revealed, “He was very pleasant. This is just an old case that the judge wanted him to get fingerprinted for. It isn’t anything new. We did it real quick and he was out.”
The incident between Mel and Oksana happened in January 2010, but he was only charged last week after their extensive investigation.
Gibson pleaded no contest in a court hearing last Friday.
The actor received three years of probation and ordered to complete a year of domestic violence and mental health counseling.
