Justin Timberlake is set to receive an award for his work with charitable causes at Saturday’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
Singer and actor Justin Timberlake, who is known for his environmental advocacy and his charity work, will be presented with the Big Help Award at this weekend’s award ceremony.
In a statement, Timberlake said, “I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us.
“And it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet.”
Justin hosts an annual celebrity golf tournament to raise money for disadvantaged children and even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness of the global water crisis back in 2009.
Willow Smith and the Black Eyed Peas are set to perform at the Nickelodeon 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards.
