Annette Funicello, the former Disney Mouseketeer and actress, suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital this morning after her home caught on fire.
Annette Funicello, who now suffers from multiple sclerosis, suffered smoke inhalation in a fire early this morning at her home in Encino, California.
The fire was first reported at around 7:30 a.m. this morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Authorities report that Annette, 68, her husband, and her nurse were all transported to the hospital. All three were reportedly in good condition.
Funicello is remembered as the cute brunette on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” then later as a sex-symbol opposite Frankie Avalon in beach movies from the 1960s.
