Early Grammy Awards Go To Rihanna & Lady Gaga


Rihanna and Lady Gaga were winners of Grammy Awards before they even walked the red carpet this evening!

Lady Gaga and Rihanna were early winners at the Grammy Awards.

Gaga won an award for Best Short-Form Video for “Bad Romance”, beating out rapper Eminem.

Best Dance Recording went to Rihanna for “Only Girl (in the World)”.

Rihanna tweeted, “CONGRATULATIONS #RihannaNavy!!!! We won a Grammy for BEST DANCE RECORDING!!!Only h* (sic) in the woooorrrrrlllldddd!!!!”

Other early winners announced included Green Day’ singer Billie Joe Armstrong for his work on the Broadway musical “American Idiot” for Best Musical Show.

The Doors’ documentary “When You’re Strange” won the Long-form Music Video, and a box set of mono versions of The Beatles’ releases was awarded Best Historical Album.

Composer Randy Newman was the winner for his work on “Toy Story 3” soundtrack.   Julie Andrews won in the children’s category.

The 53rd annual Grammy Awards are taking place tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
