Rapper Waka Flocka turned himself in to authorities on drug, gun, and gang-related charges because he “didn’t want to run”.
Waka Flocka made the wise decision of turning himself in for charges against him.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Department confirms the rapper was booked for tons of charges including:
— Possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce
— Possession of firearm by convicted felon
— Possession of hydrocodone
— Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
— Violation of probation for driving on a suspended license
— Violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act”
Waka surrendered on his own yesterday “because he wanted to do the right thing and didn’t want to run.”
Authorities raided Flocka’s home on December 16 and confiscated illegal items, issuing an arrest warrant for the rapper who wasn’t home at the time of the investigation.
Waka Flocka denies the charges though, recently saying:
“Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang” Waka stated. “That’s hustling backwards. Why would I wanna rap all around the world and then go hit the streets and gang bang? I’m a rapper, I’m not a [gang-banger] . How can you gang-bang and be a rapper? I don’t understand that, I would love to find out where their information is coming from. I can’t wait.”
The rapper is being held on $31,950 bond, with a hearing set for today.
