The home of late actress Brittany Murphy has gone into foreclosure and is scheduled to be auctioned off on Monday.
The home of late actress Brittany Murphy and her late husband Simon Monjack will be auctioned off on Monday, after going into foreclosure.
Court documents state that over $4 million is still owed on the home in Hollywood Hills, which Murphy purchased from singer Britney Spears in 2003.
Brittany’s mother Sharon put the house up for sale in March 2010, asking $7.25 million. But Sharon changed her mind, not wanting to show buyers around the property because her daughter’s personal items were still in the home.
Actress Brittany Murphy died at age 32 on December 20, 2009, after she collapsed in the bathroom. 911 was called but Britney was pronounced dead at the hospital. Just five months later, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack was found dead in the home.
