Singer Bret Michaels is set to undergo heart surgery today in Phoenix, but says he is confident he will recover quickly.
Bret Michaels, the former frontman of Poison, will have heart surgery today in Phoenix, Arizona.
Michaels, 47, who has diabetes and was treated for a brain hemorrhage last year, was told at that time that he was born with a small hole in his heart. The singer will undergo surgery to repair the tiny hole in his heart today.
But the rocker feels confident about the surgery, stating, “Barring any complications, I should be out within three to four days”.
Bret recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend and baby-mama, Kristi Gibson, 40, but have yet to set a date for the wedding. Michaels said of his engagement, “It may be the longest engagement in history, but I took the next step. I feel great. Nothing has changed except for the verbal abuse that I now have to take from my buddies”.
