Dolly Parton, the Ramones, and Dame Julie Andrews will all be receiving Lifetime Achievement Grammys for their musical contributions.
Country singer Dolly Parton will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Grammy award along with rock group the Ramones and actress Dame Julie Andrews on February 12 in a special ceremony.
Neil Portnow, president of The Recording Academy giving the awards stated, “It is a great honor to recognize and celebrate such a distinguished and dynamic group of honorees.
“Their legendary work has left a lasting impression and will continue to influence generations to come.”
Dolly Parton is famous for her huge rack as well as her country music hits including “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You”.
The Ramones, who only have one remaining living member, were one of the hottest punk bands of the 70’s.
Julie Andrews has been singing and acting in a career spanning over 60 years. She is most well known for the musical “The Sound of Music”.
