“Boney M” star Bobby Farrell was found dead in his hotel in Russia at the age of 61.
Singer Bobby Farrell, 61, was on tour in Russia where he was discovered dead in his hotel room on Thursday morning.
Farrell’s body was discovered by hotel staff after he didn’t respond to wake-up calls.
Farrell performed on Wednesday evening but reportedly complained of having trouble breathing before and after his show.
The singer was born Roberto ‘Bobby’ Alfonso Farrell, whose found fame with the group “Boney M” in the 1970s, with songs such as Daddy Cool and By the Rivers Of Babylon.
“Boney M” broke up in 1986, but Farrell continued performing.
