Carrie Prejean has announced that she and husband Kyle Boller are expecting their first child. Read more on Prejean’s baby news below.
Carrie Prejean is knocked up!
“We are just so excited,” Prejean, 23, told FOX411.com on Wednesday. “I’m due in May on my grandmother’s birthday. She recently passed away, so that’s very special to us.”
Carrie married Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller in July. They began trying for a baby about a month after the wedding.
“I’m trying to stay healthy, but it has been tough. I’ve been getting night sickness. We’ve started thinking about names, but we are keeping it to ourselves for right now. It has been fun looking at baby books.”
Prejean and Boller will find out the sex of their baby in an ultrasound next week.
Her hubby Kyle Boller, 29, is thrilled Carrie is expecting.
“I have the most beautiful pregnant wife ever, we are so in love and this was just the best news when we found out a couple of weeks ago,” Boller said.
Prejean made headlines last year when asked by a pageant judge (Perez Hilton) if she supported gay marriage. “In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” she replied. “No offense to anybody there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be, between a man and a woman.”
Carrie had semi-nude photos come out on the Internet but Donald Trump, the owner of Miss USA and Miss Universe, allowed her to keep her crown.
But shortly thereafter Prejean was fired for violating her contract and “unwillingness to make appearances on behalf” of the organization, according to pageant officials.
But Prejean claims, “None of this would be happening right now if I just said, ‘Yeah, gays should get married. You’re right, Perez Hilton.'”
