Zara Phillips, Princess Anne’s daughter, competed at the Festival of British Eventing. This was her first official event since she was forced to withdraw from the Olympics in July.
Zara withdrew because her regular horse, Toytown, suffered an injury during a training session.
The reporter wrote that Zara Phillips looked upset as she was very disappointed after completing the show jumping stage.
Zara rode on two horses for different events and she finished a poor 18th and 16th. She was disappointed as she wanted to be inside the top ten places. There were 35 riders in the competition. Zara’s team mates were said to be in the Far East and getting ready to compete in the Olympics.
