Khloe Kardashian, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, must serve three days in the Los Angeles jail after violating probation after her DUI. UPDATE: Khloe Kardashian released from jail after serving only hours!
Wow! That was quick! Khloe Kardashian is already out of jail after serving only hours!
The 24-year-old “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star was booked at a Los Angeles County jail Friday morning at 8:52 and released at 1:29 p.m.
A rep for Khloe released this statement to ET: “Khloe was prepared to serve her entire 30 -day sentence, if that was what the Sheriff’s Department ordered. However, due to jail over-crowding, she was released after a few hours. She was treated no differently than anyone else serving a similar sentence. Of course, she is happy to be out and she thanks the Sheriff’s Department for its professionalism. She now looks forwarding to successfully completing the terms of her probation.”
Khloe was serving time for a DUI arrest and probation violation.
Khloe Kardashian’s actual “reality” will involve the Los Angeles county jail. The youngest daughter of famed defense attorney Robert Kardashian admitted violating her probation after a 2007 drunken driving arrest during a July 3 court hearing, according to court records.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Kardashian, who’s featured on E! Entertainment Television’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” to surrender to authorities on Friday and serve up to 30 days in jail.
Most sources seem to state that Khloe Kardashian will only serve three days in jail, due to overcrowding.
Kardashian will also have to enroll in an alcohol treatment program “” one of the terms of probation she failed to complete “” within three weeks of her release. She will also remain on probation.
“She admitted to failing to complete [roadside cleanup duty] and enroll in an alcohol education class,” said L.A. City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan on Monday.
Kardashian, 24, has until July 18 to begin serving her sentence. She was sentenced on July 3.
“Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved,” her rep tells PEOPLE.
Her drunken driving arrest was featured in an episode of the E! series.
