Disney premieres “Camp Rock” starring Demi Lovato and the teen heartthrobs, The Jonas Brothers tonight.
Tonight’s premiere of “Camp Rock” won’t come soon enough for tons of teens and tweens this evening.
The plot of the show stars stars Demi Lovato,15, who plays Mitchie Torres, a young singer-songwriter who is only granted admittance to the prestigious rock camp when her mother becomes a chef at the camp. Ashamed of her poor upbringing, Mitchie hides behind a fake persona before realizing she should be true to who she really is… and sings about it!
Demi Lovato, a Texas native, is said to be the next Miley Cyrus.
The Jonas Brothers play a fictitious band called Connect Three. Joe Jonas is the most featured brother in this movie, playing an obnoxious singer sent to Camp Rock in search of identity rehab. In real life, the Jonas Brothers are squeaky-clean rockers, including purity rings, pledging themselves to remain virgins until married.
They rose to fame when opening for Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana tour and will be releasing a new album this summer (“A Little Bit Longer”) and starring in their own potential Disney television series (“J.O.N.A.S.” a.k.a. Junior Operatives Networking As Spies) in the fall.
The Jonas Brother’s new video will be premiering tonight after Camp Rock. See the new video here.
