Supermodel Rachel Hunter, 39, recently slammed Beyonce Knowles for her modeling aspirations. Hunter believes that actresses and musicians crossing over into the arena of modeling are somehow knocking up and coming girls out of runway and magazine assignments.
Hunter, ex-wife of rocker Rod Stewart, says “Movie and music stars will overshadow the world of modeling. For years now we have seen people on the covers of magazines that aren’t models. They are actresses and it’s disappointing. “˜Sports Illustrated’ this year had Knowles on the cover. What’s left for young girls to aspire to if they want to be models? Not much!”
Rachel Hunter is being rather hypocritical considering her cross over from modeling into feature films and television appearances. Hunter has made television appearances on “The Drew Carey Show” and “Suddenly Susan.” She’s also acted in several films including “Rock Star” and the Sundance film “MacArthur Park.” What about the aspirations of all those hopeful young actresses Hunter is stealing work from?
