Will Ferrell (As Ron Burgundy) Announces Sequel! (VIDEO)

Will Ferrell made a surprise appearance on tonight’s “Conan” to announce that there will be a sequel to the awesome 2004 movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”.

Ferrell, who was of course in character as Ron Burgundy, played a flute solo and hurled a few insults to Conan O’Brien, before making the big announcement.

Will stated, “As of 0900 hours Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to ‘Anchorman.’ It is official, there will be a sequel to ‘Anchorman.’”

The original movie was written by Ferrell and Adam McKay, grossing $85 million in the United States.

Ferrell’s character made many silly phrases popular, such as “You stay classy, San Diego” and “I love lamp”.

Steve Carell and Paul Rudd will definitely be coming back, with Ferrell and Adam McKay co-writing the script. McKay will return to direct the movie.
