Katie Holmes will not be getting any spousal support from Tom Cruise in their divorce settlement.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star filed for divorce in New York in June, and the divorce was finalized within weeks.

Katie Holmes will only receive child support for their six-year-old daughter Suri, of whom she has legal custody.

An insider reveals Holmes will receive $400,000 a year in child support, which breaks down to around $33,000 a month. This amount may sound like a big chunk of change, but it’s a drop in the bucket to Tom Cruise who is worth $250 million!

Holmes and Cruise agreed Suri will not be attending a “residential school”, which essentially means she will not attend a boarding school.

That certainly didn’t take long! Katie Holmes’ lawyer has confirmed that his client’s divorce with Tom Cruise has been settled.

Tom and Katie have reached an agreement out of court, which will relieve any Scientologists that worried she would spill secrets on their little cul.

Holmes’ lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe, stated, “This case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution”.

The news of the divorce settlement comes on the heels of their reps issuing a joint statement this morning, which said they would work together as parents to little Suri and “express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs”.

Katie, 33, made the filing yesterday in her divorce with actor Tom Cruise, who coincidentally turned 50 yesterday. Cruise spent a quiet birthday with his teenage children, Connor and Bella, at his Beverly Hills mansion.

A source said of Katie’s legal filing, “It’s a motion seeking temporary emergency relief, which can include child support and custody. It also means that Tom is going to have to hire a New York lawyer — he can’t use his Calif. lawyer anymore. The motion also means that both Tom and Katie have to be present in court on July 17. A judge is now assigned to their case, which means it’s no longer going to be an out-of-court settlement. They are scheduled to appear before Judge Matthew Cooper on July 17 at 9:30 AM.”
