“America’s Got Talent” is set to undergo a huge change and shock jock Howard Stern’s future on the hit show is up in the air.
Simon Cowell and the head of NBC are ready for a huge change for Season 8 after rating dropped after the finale in September.
Sharon Osbourne already quit and now Howard Stern has dropped major hints that he may not be coming back either, which would mean the show would need two new judges to join Howie Mandel.
The show moved to New York from Los Angeles to accommodate Stern, 58, who replaced Piers Morgan this year.
An insider said, “AGT is massively successful, but every TV show needs a refresh to make it the best it can be. At this time, there are questions over whether Howard wants to return. Neither of the Howards have signed up again yet, but it’s Stern who is being vocal about the fact he may not come back.
Howard Stern, who is known for his shocking comments on his radio show, is showing off his softer side as a judge on “America’s Got Talent”.
An adorable 7-year-old rapper “Mir Money” took to the stage to perform, but Howard just wasn’t feeling it and hit the buzzer.
Stern felt the need to explain his decision, which resulted in “Mir Money” crying.
The radio personality went up on stage to comfort him, declaring, “This job is too rough for me, I don’t really wanna do it anymore…I’m not cut out for this, man. I’m not cut out for it. I’m shaking man, I’m shaking. I can’t do it, man. I can’t do it.”
Shock jock Howard Stern wants to warn anyone considering doing an audition for “America’s Got Talent” that he will be a very strict judge.
Stern said he is prepared to “stick to his guns” and won’t tone down criticism for talent show program.
Howard, who is preparing for tonight’s season premiere of the show, stated, “I’m going to be a strict judge. I don’t want to go buzzer-crazy, but I’ve got to stick to my guns. We’ve got to find the best talent”.
Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel will sit alongside Stern at the judge’s panel trying to find new talent.
The popular radio personality is replacing Piers Morgan on the show, stating, “I’m a huge fan of the show – I’ve been asked to do a lot of different things in my career and I’ve avoided them. Something appealed to me with this. I sit at home on my couch and judge”.
