Singer Lil’ Chris, whose real name is Christopher James Hardman, has died at the age of 24 in his hometown of Lowestoft. There is no cause of death revealed yet, but he did struggle with depression.
Lil’ Chris found fame at the age of 15 after being featured in the second series of Rock School, in which Kiss rocker Gene Simmons attempted to form a band from students at Kirkley High School in Lowestoft.
Sophie Simmons, whose father is the frontman for legendary rock band KISS, auditioned on Wednesday night’s final audition for “The X Factor”.
The 19-year-old singer made it through to the next round after wowing the judges including Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell.
Simmons wanted to try and make it with her own singing ability and not just because of her famous father.
But her cover was blown when judge Demi Lovato recognized her as Nick Simmons’ sister and Gene Simmons’ daughter.
In an interview before her audition, Sophie said, “My dad is Gene Simmons from KISS. I really just want to step out of being the daughter of the guy from KISS. I want to be my own person and hopefully this is the way to show the world who I am.”
