Sophie Simmons, whose father is the frontman for legendary rock band KISS, auditioned on Wednesday night’s final audition for “The X Factor”.

The 19-year-old singer made it through to the next round after wowing the judges including Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell.

Simmons wanted to try and make it with her own singing ability and not just because of her famous father.

But her cover was blown when judge Demi Lovato recognized her as Nick Simmons’ sister and Gene Simmons’ daughter.

In an interview before her audition, Sophie said, “My dad is Gene Simmons from KISS. I really just want to step out of being the daughter of the guy from KISS. I want to be my own person and hopefully this is the way to show the world who I am.”

“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” has been canceled by A&E. The reality show stars KISS rocker Gene Simmons, wife Shannon Tweed and their children, Nick and Sophie.

The show debuted in 2006 and its season 7 finale aired had 952,000 viewers, when Shannon and Gene became engaged.

“I just got word that our show Gene Simmons Family Jewels will not be picked up”, Shannon tweeted yesterday afternoon.

In an immediate follow up tweet, she adds, “I wasn’t complaining, just reporting. We are all moving on doing tons of other things! You will see.”

Simmons, 62, is currently touring with KISS.

Sophie Simmons wasn’t able to spend Father’s Day with her father, Kiss singer Gene Simmons.

Sophie took off to San Francisco to audition for “The X Factor” instead!

Sophie, 19, the daughter of the rocker and Playboy model Shannon Tweed, wanted to be judged on her talent and not her last name.

“This isn’t about my dad. This is about my audition,” Sophie stated.

But, Gene caught wind of Sophie’s plans and chartered a private jet to fly him and Shannon to San Francisco to show their support for their daughter.

“We think she’s the most talented, wonderful, charming daughter but we just want her to get want a fair shot,” Gene said of Sophie.

Gene Simmons has been branded a “sex addict” by his former bandmate, Ace Frehley.

Frehley revealed that Gene, who recently wed his girlfriend of 28 years, Shannon Tweed, originally only had sex “once or twice a year” but later slept with “hundreds” of women the band became more successful.

In Ace’s book, entitled “No Regrets: A Rock ‘n Roll Memoir”, he stated, “I believe Gene is a sex addict, in much the same way I am an alcoholic. If you’ve been with only one or two women (and had to beg for whatever you got off them), it must be intoxicating to suddenly have groupies falling all over you.

“You go from getting laid once or twice a year to getting laid a hundred times by a hundred different women.”

After 28 years together, Kiss frontman Gene Simmons and former Playboy model, Shannon Tweed, tied the knot earlier this month, and the world got to watch the couple say “I do” on last night’s episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Gene and Shannon were married in a lavish ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in front of over 400 guests.

Shannon looked gorgeous in her ivory Priscilla of Boston gown, which was just one of the three dresses she wore that evening. You only get to do this once hopefully, right?
