Tim Lambesis, the lead singer for the Grammy-nominated heavy metal Christian band As I Lay Dying, was arrested in California on Tuesday on charges that he attempted to hire an undercover detective to have his estranged wife murdered.

Lambesis was arrested and charged with solicitation of another to commit murder.

Jennifer Lopez had been filming a music video for her new track “Live it Up” on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida when she sat down for an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” as gun shots were heard in the area.

ET’s Rob Marciano, who was interviewing the star, reported that “security scrambled [Lopez] away” after the scary incident.
