Apparently Brad Pitt thinks Inglourious Basterds is the best war movie, and considers Tom Cruise’s Nazi movie Valkyrie ” ridiculous”. Read more on what Pitt had to say below.

The German press asked Bra  Pitt what he thought about Tom Cruise’s movie Valkyrie, and Pitt replied,  “It was a ridiculous movie.”

Pitt find the Quentin Tarantino-directed movie, Inglorious Basterds, is the best of the World War II movies.

“The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said,” Pitt tells the German magazine Stern. “The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”

In the interview, Brad Pitt reveals that the movie Saturday Night Fever inspired him as a kid.

“When I was a teenager, I saw Saturday Night Fever at our drive-in, but it wasn’t the dancing that electrified me. It was the life and culture in Brooklyn. I’m from Missouri, the southern part of the Midwest in the U.S., and I never heard families talk that way to each other,” he says. “From that point on, I wanted out to see more of the country and of life.”

Four new cast members have been added to the 2010 remake of “Red Dawn” and Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s son is one of them!  Read more on Connor Cruise’s big role below.

Thus far the cast will be as follows:

Josh Hutcherson will play the role of C. Thomas Howell; Isabel Lucas will play the role originally played by Lea Thompson; Edwin Hodge will play part Brad Savage originally played, and Connor Cruise will play the role originally played by Darryl Dalton.

If you don’t remember Red Dawn, it was a 1984 action movie about a group of teenagers who form an insurgency when their town is invaded by Chinese and Russian soldiers.

Other actors already cast include Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki.

Cruise is playing Daryl, the mayor’s son and best friend of tech geek Robert.

The cast will attend military training in an undisclosed location. Shooting for the movie will begin in Detroit and is scheduled for a September 2010 release.

Katie Holmes looked gorgeous as she appeared o SYTYCD’s show for charity on their 100th epidose Thursday evening. Read more on Katie’s appearance and see her performance in the video below!

Hate Holmes performed her rendition of Judy Garland’s song “Get Happy” from the 1950s musical Summer Stock.

“Katie worked so hard and has been working hard and now it’s just her time to share her gifts with the world and inspire people,” gushed an elated Tyce Diorio, who directed and choreographed pal Holmes in the piece. “She’s so excited and thrilled and just over the moon about it and so am I,” he added, having spoken to her post-performance. “We went on this journey together and it’s wonderful to see it all come to fruition. And having Garland’s son in the audience to experience that, it all just felt so right, I’m so excited — and I had a chance to direct!”

Judge and producer Nigel Lythgoe, director Adam Shankman and Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and Katie Holmes co-founded the Dizzy Feet Foundation. This nonprofit organization helps underprivileged and talented dancers have access to dance education. “I’m really delighted,” said Lythgoe. “This is someone who’s done this to get the press and publicity for the Dizzy Feet Foundation –- bless her! And I thought her voice was good. She’s not Judy Garland but as a complete package, I thought she was terrific!”

For little over a month, whispers of the performance circulated, and SYTYCD season four winner Joshua Allen, who actually dances in the number, says although it was difficult to keep everything secret the entire experience was worth it. “Katie Holmes is a sweetheart. She’s the nicest person,” says Allen, “You would think, ‘Oh, no, she doesn’t talk to anybody.’ She likes to converse, laugh, she bought us like different cookies and treats when we were on the set. And I met Tom Cruise. He’s awesome as well. They’re really, really nice. Just sweet nice people.”

The host of the show, Cat Deeley, interviewed Holmes before her performance, and was very imprssed by her demeanor. “I remember sitting down and interviewing her, I said, ‘Are you not terrified? Are you not scared out of your mind?’ ” stated Deeley. “I was putting myself in her position. Because that’s not what the American public know her for. And she’s like, ‘Actually, you know what, I’m really cool with it.’ She’s like, ‘you know what, no, I’m just going to go out there and have a really lovely time.’ And I think a really big thing to her was the whole Judy Garland connection and how fabulous she was. And I think she just really went with it.”

Top Gun actress Kelly McGillis has now confirmed that she is indeed a lesbian, after denying the rumors for years. Read more on this story below.

Kelly McGillis, 51, played Tom Cruise’s love interest in the movie “Top Gun”, but has been rumored to be gay for many years now.  Before now, McGillis denied those rumors.

But McGillis finally “came out of the closet”‘ in an interview with lesbian website SheWired.com.  Kelly was asked if she was looking for a man or woman, and she stated her next partner would “definitely be a woman”.

She added: ‘I’m done with the man thing. I did that, I need to move on in life.

‘It’s a part of being true to yourself. That’s been a challenge for me.’

KellyMcGillis has been married and divorce twice already. She has two daughters, Kelsey, 19, and Sonora, 16, from her 13-year marriage to California millionaire Fred Tillian. The couple divorced in 2002.

Kelly said it was hard for her to accept being lesbian. “I think that was an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12. It was a long arduous journey for me. I had a lot of bad things happen to me that made me think God was punishing me for being gay.  Life is a freaking journey about coming to terms with who and what you are.”

In 2000, Kelly fueled rumors about her sexuality after doing a lesbian sex scene in thriller “The Monkey’s Mask”.

Around that time, she said: “I knew this movie would start all that lesbian thing up again and it doesn’t bother me.  It isn’t about me coming out but if people want to think that, that’s fine. I don’t care. If anyone has a problem with the scenes, they can kiss my big, fat butt.”

Kelly was assaulted and raped in her New York apartment by convicted rapist Leroy Johnson back in the eighties. Three years ago, he made an apology to the actress after he was convicted of raping two other women.

McGillis, 51, said she would like to return to acting now that her children have grown up.

Tom Cruise got in some digs at Matt Lauer on Friday. This time it seemed to be all in good fun. Tom Cruise was a surprise guest at Lauer’s Friar’s Club roast.

Three years ago, Cruise had given Lauer trouble on a “Today” show interview for suggesting that psychiatric treatment might help some patients. And that same year Tom Cruise acted a little freaky by jumping up and down on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show couch, excited about falling in love with Katie Holmes.

At Friday’s roast, Cruise joked that Lauer had given him some advice before his interview with Winfrey: “Go crazy. Trust me. Trust me. People will love you for it.” Cruise made for the exit shortly after his speech. So, Lauer called after him with: “Tom, can you stay? I’ll get a booster seat.”

Others who took verbal shots at Lauer included Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Richard Belzer, Martha Stewart and Meredith Vieira.

(”Trust me, Juice, people will love you for it.”) After revealing that Katie Couric asked Lauer if she should leave the Today show, and admiring Lauer’s ability to do the same thing every day (interviewing the car from Knight Rider, making five-minute radish puffs with Rachael Ray, and waiting for viewers, or execs, to decide that he’s too bald), Cruise signed off by saying that he couldn’t believe he flew all the way here for someone who’s neither the most interesting nor the smartest person on TV. “Lose my number, you glib putz. Cruise out.” Lauer, however, had the last laugh, yelling, “Can you stay?” to Cruise as he exited the stage. “We can get a booster seat!” Al Roker, the roastmaster emcee, chimed in something about Cruise not being able to stay because his spaceship was about to leave. The group, “Anonymous” protested Scientology outside Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in New York, on the opening night of Katie Holmes’ “All My Sons”. The protesters wore “Vendetta” masks and carried signs saying “Scientology is a Cult”. Meanwhile, Scientology members passed out fliers containing the identity and photos of “Anonymous” members. The opening night of “All My Sons”, with Kate Holmes, was picketed by about 20 demonstrators, trying to get the actress to quit Scientology.

The activists wore “V for Vendetta” masks, and carried signs saying “Scientology is a cult,” “Run, Katie, Run!” and “Free Katie, Keep Tom.”

The Scientology protesters are members of a group that call themselves “Anonymous”, who describe themselves as a “leaderless worldwide group of concerned citizens.” This group is active in internet forums and blogs such as Operation Clambake, where they post under the name of “Anonymous” and have released a number of videos on YouTube.

Some of the group “Anonymous’” videos were taken down from YouTube, fueling the “conspiracy” fire.

The spokespeople for Anonymous spokespeople stated:

“We are not boycotting Katie, we are not boycotting the play, we are protesting against Scientology… [Scientology] is evil. [it] kills people. It follows you home at night. It is perverted.”

The Church of Scientology has attracted controversy for its odd status as a religion, as many believe that the monetary costs for remaining in the Church define it as a cult. Scientology’s doctrine also encourages its members to disown and ignore family and friends who oppose the religion. Not to mention the former Scientology members that left the religion, only to be found dead. Coincidence?

Anonymous also recently staged a protest at the Scientology Center in New York and have been picketing outside the New Village Academy private school in Calabasas, California, which is funded by Scientologists Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Of course Will Smith and Jada deny being involved with Scientology.

Well, the Church of Scientology freaks are not taking the Anonymous protests lightly, and are shown on the video below giving out untrue information about the group “Anonymous”, as well as flyers with photos and names of members of Anonymous. Obviously Scientology regards this group of peaceful protesters as a threat, for spreading the truth about their organization. This certainly does not help Scientology’s image as being a “cult”. Actually it makes them seem all the more intimidating.

Tom Cruise’s movie about the story of Claus von Stauffenberg has suffered a new setback.

Eleven men, who were extras on the set of Valkyrie, have hired a lawyer to sue United Studios for $11 million. The actors were injured when their truck had an accident which caused them to be thrown off the moving vehicle.

The accident happened when the side panel of the truck gave way and the men fell out. The men suffered a wide variety of injuries that included bruises, broken ribs and pulled ligaments.

The 11 extras have engaged Ariane Bluttner to fight on their behalf. Ariane Bluttner claimed that United Studios knew that the truck was unsafe and ignored a memo warning about this.

Tom Cruise was said to have turned to Beckham for advice after he was tired of seeing himself looking slightly overweight. Cruise was said to be happy with the result of Beckham’s nutrition plan and exercise schedule.

Katie Holmes was supposedly responsible for suggesting to her husband that he seek Beckham’s help. While Homes was away in New York, Cruise started on his revolutionary program. It had exercises on the treadmill, weight training and fencing too.

Tom Cruise showed up in New York to lend his support to his wife, Katie Holmes, as she worked on her rehearsals for her role in All My Sons.

Katie had been faithfully turning up for rehearsals in denim jeans and seemed to have left her fashionable threads behind in Hollywood. Tom took her lead and wore causal denims while he was out with Katie.

While work has forced the celebrity couple apart in recent weeks, Suri has followed her mother to New York, along with her nanny.

On Monday, it was Katie’s turn to fly back to the west coast to join Tom for the debut of his latest film, Tropic Thunder.

Tropic Thunder protests began recently by mentally disabled groups such as The Special Olympics and AAPD due to the movie’s character played by Ben Stiller, playing a mentally challenged person, which they find offensive. Come on!

Tropic Thunder stars Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., and other stars.

The premise of the movie is it’s a “movie within a movie”, where a bunch of bratty actors are making a hugh war movie and are way behind schedule. They go into the jungle in Asia to get a bit of motivation for their movie, but accidentally get into real-life trouble with bad ass drug lords.

With the comedy powerhouses of Ben Stiller and Jack Black, how can this movie go wrong?

Robert Downey Jr. plays an egotistic Australian actor that has his skin darkened in order to play an African American war hero in the “movie within the movie” film. You don’t see African American’s protesting the movie!

Tom Cruise also makes a cameo appearance in Tropic Thunder playing a “big wig” studio guy.

Only problem is the film has come under fire by mentally disabled groups due to Ben Stiller’s “mentally challenged” character, which they found very offensive.

Andrew J. Imparato, president of the American Association of People With Disabilities group, said the movie was “tasteless” and “offensive from start to finish”.

“I have a sense of humor,” said Imparato. “There were parts of the movie where I laughed, but it seems to me that the movie tried really hard to go too far and then pull back on everything that was offensive except the issue of people with intellectual disabilities. I just think Ben Stiller and the people involved in this movie just didn’t think it was going to be offensive.”

Tropic Thunder sounds really funny, don’t you guys think?
