Paulina James, 2008 AVN Nominee for Best New Starlet

Howard welcomed porn stars Casey Parker and Paulina James on his show last week to discuss the upcoming AVN awards. The AVN Awards are like the Oscars of the porn-business. AVN has announced that adult superstar Tera Patrick will host the 2008 award show on Saturday, January 12 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Stern asked Paulina James how her parents felt about her career in the sex industry and she responded that other than health concerns, her parents were fine with it. Paulina James has been nominated for 2008 AVN Best New Starlet. She’s been a busy girl, starring in more than 60 movies in less than two years.

It’s been rumored that James has been set to star in a porn movie featuring her playing the role of a pop princess who can’t seem to stop getting in trouble” and who all of Hollywood regards as a fun date. The name of this adult film is “Lindsay HoHand” and is reportedly inspired by the exploits of Lindsay Lohan.

Ricki Lake also stopped by the Stern show to promote her new documentary about pregnancy and the birth experience. Ricki showed off her newly slimmed down figure while Stern told her she should think about dropping even more weight. Lake also confirmed rumors that she and John Mayer have been texting since their meeting at a Christmas party.

Singer John Mayer and actress Ricki Lake have prompted rumors of a romance, after the 30-year-old singer/songwriter confessed he has a crush on the former talk show host.

Mayer met a newly slimmed down Lake at a company Christmas party on Tuesday. It’s been reported that Ricki has dropped 125 pounds. She weighed in at 260 pounds at one time. According to the “New York Post”, Mayer told Lake, “I’ve had a crush on you for two years.”

The pair then exchanged numbers, went their separate ways but texted each other into the night. While appearing on the “Howard Stern Show,” Lake confirmed her encounter with the musician.

Mayer has been romantically linked to Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz in the past. Lake was married to her husband, Rob Sussman, before divorcing.

John Mayer has been nominated for best male pop vocal Grammy for the song “Belief”. Ricki Lake’s newest project is a documentary, “The Business of Being Born,” in which she explores America’s child birthing industry.
