Paul McCartney made an appearance on David Letterman at  New York’s famous Ed Sullivan Theater, 45 years after his first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. Read more and see the video of Paul McCartney on Letterman below.

Paul McCartney even spoke about his friendship with Michael Jackson and how they later drifted apart.

Paul said he first met Michael in the early ’80s, after the star called asking if he wanted to make some hit songs together.

“You know, he came to my house and we got to know the family and stuff,” Paul told Dave. “We had a really good time. We made a couple of records together ["Say Say Say" and "The Girl is Mine"], did a video and were very good friends.”

But Paul admitted their friendship was never quite the same after Michael bought the Beatles music catalog and decided not to sell it to Paul.

“He kept saying, ‘That’s just business, Paul, you know,’ so I went, ‘Yeah, it is,’ and waited for a reply. But we never kind of got to it and I thought, ‘Mmmmm,’ so we kind of drifted apart. It was no big bust-up. We kind of drifted apart after that. But he was a lovely man, massively talented and we miss him.”

Paul McCartney is rumored to be on the verge of proposing to his girlfriend, Nancy Shevell. Some media sources have got wind that Paul McCartney may actually be proposing to Shevell soon.

Shevell, 47, is going to finalize her divorce from Bruce Blakeman. Paul McCartney, 66, has indicated that he was house hunting to move to Manhattan to be near to his girlfriend. As soon as Shevell is free to marry, it is likely that Shevell and McCartney will announce their engagement. If he does, Shevell will become his third wife.

Nancy Shevell’s estranged husband is Bruce Blakeman. He is a politician and is rumored to be running for New York Mayor one day soon.

Nancy Shevell was seen with Paul McCartney as the couple was walking out of McCartney’s home in London. They went out for lunch.

Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell posed for photographers. They were dressed casually and looked elegant together. McCartney took Shevell out to Richoux Restaurant, one of his favorite restaurants.

Shevell and McCartney were fresh back from a holiday in the US, where McCartney fulfilled his dream of traveling along the old Route 66. Their vacation on the road took them across seven States.

McCartney and Shevell had been dating since last November. They went public around the time McCartney’s divorce settlement was finalized by the court.

My Soul will be released in Nitin Sawhney’s new album, London Undersound, in October 2008. Sawhney said that My Soul tells the story of Paul McCartney’s divorce from his point of view. It is supposed to be a powerful and emotional song about a difficult period in his life.

The lyrics spoke of the shattered dreams, the regrets, the sorrows and the lack of privacy. Paul McCartney relayed the message that he felt sorry for his ex wife.

Mills has started spending her $50 million divorce settlement from Paul Mccartney.

Some guests in the holiday group were a vegan shoe designer, estate agent, photographer, interior designer, and a dozen other people. The occasion was to celebrate the end of her 4 year old marriage to Sir Paul McCartney.

Paul McCartney has obtained the decree absolute for his divorce, on May 19 2008, just 5 days after being granted the decree nisi. Usually, the decree absolute takes 6 weeks to finalize. The judge in charge of the case could have ordered a speedy processing of the final legal papers.

It appeared that Paul McCartney has not learnt his lesson. After 2 years of agony from divorce proceedings and $50 million later, he still wants to take his ex-wife Heather Mills on his next world tour.

Paul said that it was because he wanted to spend time with his daughter, Beatrice, 4, during his tour. He was willing to pay more money for flights and hotels. He wanted a deal with Heather to allow him to take Beatrice traveling so he was willing to pay for Heather to go along too.

The 2 year divorce battle had delayed Paul’s plan for his tour. This could possibly be his last tour.

Paul McCartney went on holiday in the Caribbean. His romantic interest was supposed to be Nancy Shevell. Their getaway was in Jumby Bay in the Caribbean. Witnesses said the couple was seen having a good time riding their bikes and enjoying each other’s company.

Paul was first romantically linked to Nancy in Oct. 2007. Then, they were seen sharing a kiss after their lunch date in New York. Paul’s spokesman refused to comment on his client’s romantic life. His friends, however, have expressed delight at his recent developments.

Jumby Bay was an island about 2 miles off Antigua. It had privacy and world class service and was known as a playground for the wealthy. Paul was thought to have taken his holiday there to recharge after his traumatic divorce trial in court.

Heather Mills has hit the jackpot. She would receive her divorce settlement that was worth about US $92 million from Paul McCartney. Part of this would be an immediate sum of about $50 million.

Paul McCartney’s shrine to his deceased wife, Linda McCartney, has been desecrated. The shrine was maintained by “The League Against Cruel Sports.” They said they found a dead deer on the shrine. What was worse was that the carcass was mutilated. The shrine was inside Paul’s Somerset estate near Bampton, UK. The local police have been informed and they would investigate the case.

This incident happened at the height of Paul’s campaign with Peta. He lent his image and authority to support Peta on the issue of animal cruelty. Paul also helped Australia’s protestors in their campaign against a scheduled culling of kangeroos. Australia’s authorities claimed that the 500 kangeroos threatened other local species through overgrazing and they had planned to kill them.

Paul McCartney officially signed the release of the Beatles’ back catalog on iTunes. This deal was expected to fetch him $400 million. This online release was predicted as the music industry’s biggest money earner. It was rumored that Paul would use some of the millions to pay his ex-wife, Heather Mills.

This deal would benefit not only Paul but also Ringo Starr and the families of John Lennon and George Harrison. The money would be split because of some complicated deals. EMI, Sony and Michael Jackson own the recording or publishing rights to Beatles’ songs. It was not clear how much each beneficiary would eventually get.

Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have divorced and the details of their settlement would be released soon.
