Naomi had plans to interview V.I.P.s for GQ, the British males’ magazine. Naomi had done an interview with Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez. She also toured around the country to see the homes donated by Chavez. Even Cuba’s President Fidel Castro had agreed to chat with her and they were waiting for the right time to meet up as Castro was infirm then.

The editor of GQ, Dylan Jones, said that he was confident Naomi’s fame would enable her to secure exclusive interviews with the famous leaders.

Naomi Campbell was shy when the cameras caught her with Formula One race driver, Lewis Hamilton. They were at the Camden Roundhouse gala before leaving for London’s Dorchester Hotel. Lewis was also trying to keep a very low profile. This made the paparazzi more curious. Could the age gap have anything to do with it? Naomi, at 37, is 15 years older than Lewis, 22.

Kate Moss approached Sienna and warned her not to hurt Rhys. Kate, being an old friend of Rhys, was concerned about him. This remark was overheard by some guests. A source said that Sienna appeared shocked and escaped to another part of the room.

Legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell, 37, is in the news again. This time she isn’t making headlines for her bad behavior. She’s speaking out about the fashion industry’s lack of interest in black models.

Campbell told the press recently while visiting Nairobi, “”Black models are being sidelined by the major modeling agencies. It is a pity that people don’t appreciate black beauty. Even myself, I get a raw deal.”

Naomi Campbell was discovered at age 15 by Beth Boldt, former head of Synchro models agency, while she was window-shopping. In April 1986, she appeared on the cover of Elle, replacing a black model who canceled out of the appearance. By August 1988, she had appeared on the cover of the French Vogue as that publication’s first black cover girl, and she had completed campaigns for Ralph Lauren and François Nars.

The fashion icon is apparently poised to take action along with her strong feelings on this subject. There’s talk that the statuesque beauty has plans to found a modeling agency in Kenya.
