After more than 12 years as a judge on the singing competition “American Idol”, Randy Jackson has announced he is leaving the show.

Randy Jackson confirmed his departure on Thursday, with reports emerging that Fox won’t be renewing any of the “American Idol” judges’ contracts.

Tim Lambesis, the lead singer for the Grammy-nominated heavy metal Christian band As I Lay Dying, was arrested in California on Tuesday on charges that he attempted to hire an undercover detective to have his estranged wife murdered.

Lambesis was arrested and charged with solicitation of another to commit murder.
