The Spice Girls’ new ad for the supermarket megastore Tesco has been labeled as cheeky. The ad’s plot showed the Spice Girls squabbling over the menu for Christmas dinner. Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, asked the most expensive seafood money could buy – lobster. Gerri Halliwell plays the peace maker. She suggested that the Spice Girls shop for their own preferences.

In a bid to avoid bad press about their working and personal relationships, Gerri Halliwell has spoken to the press about this issue. Gerri, 34, said that the Spice Girls treated one another like family. The ad had nothing to do with their interactions. It was a storyline. That is good news to know.

The Spice Girls have started their global tour in Vancouver. They would be promoting their Greatest Hits CD along with the international concerts. They had generated lots of publicity in preparation for this comeback. On the eve of their first formal performance, they had a final dress rehearsal for their closest circles and selected press contacts.

During the actual concert, the Spice Girls wore their official costume designer’s creations. Designer Roberto Cavalli made many sets of coordinated outfits for them. They appeared to be really singing and not miming the lyrics.

The Spice Girls looked good on stage and demonstrated unity in spite of reports about their differences backstage. Victoria Beckham was rumored to be pregnant. The other Spice Girls had difficulties getting along with one another. A fake email sullied the Spice Girls’ concert when it claimed that their concert in Buenos Aires was cancelled. Officials later clarified and said that the date was postponed.

David Beckham gave his wife a surprise when he dropped in unexpectedly for the first show. It was the first time the couple was together since his official tour ended.

One fan said that Geri was the only lively one while the rest appeared sluggish. The press passed an ambiguous verdict. The Spice Girls have been dubbed the Golden Girls by the Daily News. This was not a reference to the color of their gold costumes. This was a sly hint at the American sitcom, The Golden Girls. Get it?

Melanie Brown, aka Mel B, shocked the press on Nov. 29 when she left her house covered in a bedsheet. It was a crumpled bedsheet. Prior to this bizarre behavior, Mel B cried publicly when she lost out in the finales of Dancing WithThe Stars.

Why would Mel B cover herself from head to toe? The press have speculated that she might have undergone some cosmetic surgery and wanted it to remain a secret.

Mel B entered the dance competition for the money. She also agreed to be in the re-appearance of the Spice Girls because of the monetary benefits. It was reported that the Spice Girls’ CD was not selling that well. Mel might be temporarily crushed by this double whammy.

The Spice Girls had been awarded a multi-million pound contract to promote Tesco. Each of them was paid one million pounds for their advertisements for Tesco. Emma Bunton, Gerri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm all acted like they were really shopping for presents in the advertizement.

Can anyone shop for a Christmas present in a super store? Tesco has filmed their second installment of the Spice Girls ad on its premises. They wanted the Spice Girls to show how useful Tesco could be when shopping for good presents.

Victoria Beckham has been known to praise M& S as her preferred store for shopping. She said that she missed Marks and Spencer when she was overseas in Madrid and would be patronizing it whenever she had the chance.

Scary Spice has listed Eddie Murphy as her baby’s father on the birth certificate.

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has listed Eddie Murphy’s name on the birth certificate of her infant daughter, her publicist said Friday. The 31-year-old Brown, known as Scary Spice when she was in the megahit group of the ’90s, gave birth to the child April 3 in Santa Monica, Calif.
Brown’s publicist, Nadine Bibi, didn’t immediately respond Friday to an e-mail from The Associated Press asking for details. Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for Murphy, declined comment.
Brown has said ex-boyfriend Murphy is the father. The 46-year-old Dreamgirls star has said he isn’t sure, while Brown has said there is “absolutely no question that Eddie is the father.”

A DNA test will likely give us the answer. This could be a very expensive mistake on Murphy’s part.
