Mary-Kate Olsen and twin sister Ashley have a new coffee-table book called “Influence” in which they interview designers, photographers, artists, etc. In the book fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld asks the Olsen twins whether they plan on getting married and having children.

“I don’t feel the need to get married,” said Mary-Kate. “But Ashley wants children. I’ll be a great aunt or godmother.”

Clarifies Ashley, “To my child.”

Mary-Kate’s way of supporting her twin sister also delves into the men in their lives. Mary-Kate said she accepts or rejects her sister’s loves without questioning.

“I just support her,” Mary-Kate tells Oprah on the “Young Millionaire Moguls” episode airing Thursday. “If she doesn’t like him, I won’t like him. If she likes him, I’ll like him.”

Of course being protective of her twin sister means speaking her mind occasionally.

MK says she “can put in my two cents, but I think, you know, whatever makes her happy. It’s her life.”

Ashley Olsen has been seeing Justin Bartha since this past summer.

Mary-Kate Olsen has been romantically linked to artist Nate Lowman since late last year, although she tol Oprah that she’s “not in a relationship.”

Oprah asks about the decision the twins made to get their own places, which Ashley says was “absolutely” the right move.

“We’re sisters. We’re twins. We work together, and I think to live separately is just — it gives you your space,” opines Mary-Kate. “I mean, she lives a few blocks away, but it’s just — it’s nice … to go home [and be alone].”

Adds Ashley, “We’re with each other even after work. We should probably just be living together!”

The National Enquirer has reported that Mary-Kate Olsen has cheated on her current boyfriend, Nate Lowman, by going on a date with actor, Jonah Hill of “Superbad”.

Here’s the National Enquirer’s report on Mary-Kate and Jonah’s date:

Mary-Kate Olsen is two-timing her boyfriend with a surprising new guy – chubby “Knocked Up” star Jonah Hill, the Enquirer has learned exclusively. The unlikely couple cozied up to one another at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel on Aug. 26 – just one night after the stick-thing actress stepped out to a rock concert with steady beau Nate Lowman.

“It was a shock to see Mary-Kate together with, of all people, geeky Jonah,” an eyewitness told The Enquirer. “They were on a double date with another couple, dining at the hotel around 10 p.m. Mary-Kate and Jonah sat close together and seemed totally into each other. They were both wearing plaid shirts that almost matched. It was the cutest thing.”

“From what I saw at the Chateau Marmont,” said another source, “Mary-Kate had forgotten about Nate and seemed totally enamored of Jonah. And he couldn’t keep his eyes off her, either.”

They said that both Mary-Kate and Jonah seemed to be really into one another.

The evening of their date, Jonah Hill saw his friend Jason Segal and went to talk with him. Segal was a bit surprised seeing the two together and asked how he got Mary-Kate to go on the date. Jonah was said to have told him all he did was ask.

So really it’s hard to know if this was a “friendly” date or if Mary-Kate and Nate have broken up and she’s now dating Jonah Hill. One thing that catches your attention is Mary-Kate in the huge plaid shirt she is wearing as a dress. Could that belong to Jonah Hill? Interesting!

Nicole Richie is said to be a bit jealous of Mary-Kate Olsen hanging out with her fiance, Joel Madden. As you know, Richie and Madden have a daughter, Harlow, and it probably pisses her off to sit at home with a baby while her fiance parties with Mary-Kate! What girl wouldn’t be mad?

Sources state that Madden and Richie were at a dinner that Mary-Kate Olsen also attended, and Richie didn’t like all the attention Madden was showing the Olsen twin.

“During the dinner, Mary-Kate was very playful with Joel. It was all fun and games, but with the Olsens nothing is as simple as that. Nicole exploded at Joel and demanded that they leave the party. Afterward, Nicole warned him to stay away from Mary-Kate.”

Then Joel Madden, 29, was reportedly hanging out in an East Village bar, called Black and White with Mary-Kate Olsen, while Nicole Richie tried to reach him on his cell phone. Apparently Madden was too busy chatting up Mary-Kate Olsen to answer his fiance’s calls. What a bad boy!

Joel Madden and Mary-Kate Olsen hung out together all night after his band, “Good Charlotte”, played a concert at the Roseland Ballroom. Madden even gave Mary-Kate a tour of his band’s bus, and was photographed touching her shoulder, appearing to be a “little too friendly” with Olsen.

Nicole Richie, 26, was home with their 7 month-old daughter, Harlow, in Los Angeles, and learned of the two hanging out when Madden called her. Their flirting did not sit well with Richie!

“Nicole freaked out. Joel thought she’d respect the fact that he was trying to be honest – after all, he and Mary-Kate are just friends – but Nicole was hurt and angry. He couldn’t deal with it, so he hung up, and she kept texting him after that.”

A source said, “Nicole warned him to stay away from Mary-Kate.”

“She’s been friends with Mary-Kate for a while, but she doesn’t trust her at all when it comes to Joel, ” the source related.

Don’t know about you guys but it seems normal for Nicole Richie to be pissed about Joel hanging out with Mary-Kate. Not that the little troll is attractive, but still!

Mary Kate Olsen is obviously not happy about reports getting out in the media about her refusal to talk with investigators about Heath Ledger’s death. Her lawyer issued a statement. Well seems she will talk, it’s being reported Mary Kate has been issued a subpoena.

Before the subpoena was issued, MK agreed to talk to the feds if they gave her ass immunity. A lawyer not connected to the case said that really doesn’t mean anything. The lawyer-type said, “It may not mean anything other than she’s getting good legal advice. You don’t know what the DEA may suspect in this case and I think it’s a cautious way to proceed. I think it would be wrong to assume she’s done something criminal simply because she’s invoking her Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination.”

Everyone is curious, just what does Mary Kate Olsen know about Heath Ledger’s death? And why in the world would she need immunity?

Here is what Mary Kate Olsen’s lawyer said in a statement today:

“Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them…Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed,” the statement from her attorney continues…We don’t know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the government’s inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate.”

But we all still wonder why Mary Kate won’t talk with federal investigators, just what does she know that she doesn’t want to expose?

Mary Kate Olsen has always been secretive about Heath Ledger’s death. People speculated they two were dating, but could there be more to the story? Mary Kate will be forced to talk now. She was issued a subpoena.

Mary-Kate Olsen has refused to be interviewed by federal investigators questioning the accidental drug death of her close friend Heath Ledger unless she receives immunity from prosecution. So what does she know that she needs immunity?

The lawyer for Mary Kate Olsen has repeatedly “shot down” attempts by the feds to question Olsen, who was the first person called after her masseuse discovered Ledger’s body in his SoHo apartment in January.

Federal investigators have been frustrated with Mary Kate’s refusal to talk, and could obtain a grand-jury subpoena to force the “Full House” actress to tell them whatever she knows about the “Dark Knight” star’s behavior, his possible drug use and the events of the morning Ledger died.

Investigators have already interviewed everyone close to Heath Ledger and his death, including his doctors, the masseuse, bodyguards, housekeepers, business associates and even the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, Matilda, his “Brokeback Mountain” co-star Michelle Williams.

“Ms. Williams was extremely nice and cooperative,” a source said.

A source confirms, “Everyone has been very eager to help, saying what a great guy Heath Ledger was, everyone except Mary-Kate, who has refused to speak.”

That source explained that Olsen would be the final witness they need to conclude their investigation into where he got his drugs and medicines.

Heath Ledger, whose performance as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” has started Oscar buzz – died of a cocktail of prescription drugs and OxyContin, the latter of which was likely obtained illegally.

Some sources close to Ledger say he was taking these medications because of his insomnia. Many speculated he had gotten so into his “Joker” character, that it was affecting him personally.

Heath Ledger’s death was ruled an accidental drug overdose by the medical examiner.

New York Police Department investigators closed their questioning without interviewing Olsen because, they said, they got all the cooperation they needed from others. Their decision, however, surprised some observers, considering Olsen’s role as a potential witness.

Many people found it strange that after getting the call from her masseuse, Olsen telephoned her bodyguards in New York, telling them to hurry to Ledger’s home, where they arrived just as paramedics got to the scene.

The US Drug Enforcement Administration, which opened an investigation to determine the sources of Ledger’s drugs, was not as easy-going as the NYPD about talking to Mary Kate Olsen.

The feds contacted her lawyer, Michael Miller, several times recently seeking her cooperation, but Miller has told the feds Olsen won’t be interviewed unless she gets immunity, exercising her constitutional rights.

According to sources, all of the drugs in Ledger’s body and discovered nearby in prescription bottles were legally obtained from two physicians, except for the oxycontin, a powerful painkiller.

Investigators “are trying to ID the source of the OxyContin,” a source said. “Did it come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That is what is trying to be determined.”

DEA investigators were also aggressive with the NYPD, the sources said, and were forced to threaten to obtain a grand-jury subpoena before receiving the Heath Ledger files.

An NYPD spokesman said the department never balked at handing over the files and did so after receiving a routine federal administrative subpoena.

When questioned about asking for immunity for his client, Mary Kate Olsen’s lawyer said, “We are not going to comment on whether there is a criminal investigation,” and would not comment further.

Most of us baffled by Mary Kate Olsen’s request for immunity wonder what she is hiding? Did she tamper with the crime scene? Or was she the one that gave the Oxycontin to Heath? Or was there a romantic relationship she doesn’t want discovered?

Whatever Mary Kate Olsen is hiding, it must be serious, and could damage her “good girl” reputation. What do you guys think?

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are selling their New York apartment for a $4.7 million profit. The 21-year-old Olsen twins have never even lived in the 12 room Greenwich Village property but have now put it on the market for $12 million. The millionaire starlets have been renting out the spectacular condo for $35,000 a month since they first purchased it in 1994 for $7.3 million. The twins bought the 6,000-square-foot penthouse before moving from Los Angeles to the Big Apple. Prior to moving in, they planned extensive renovations on the new apartment.

Real estate agent Charlotte Van Doren said: “The apartment has been rented, and has been continually rented since they first bought it.” The apartment’s main feature is a 53ft-long entertainment space with a glass-enclosed fireplace in the center. The condo also boasts views of the Hudson River from the living/dining room, the master bedroom, the master dressing room and the two other bedrooms. It has two separate 100sq ft walk-in closets too.

The twins’s representative, Michael Pagnotta tells “People” magazine, “It turned out to be too much space, along with the fact that the renovation was going to take far longer than anyone expected. It just didn’t make sense anymore. Their needs changed in terms of their living situations. The school year is coming to the end and they might not be around to supervise the renovations and it just didn’t make sense.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley – who in 2005 were estimated to have a combined net worth of $300 million – have a lucrative brand including their own fashion and accessories range, their own film series and successful acting and modelling careers. Last week, Mary-Kate was admitted to a hospital with a “kidney infection”. She has since recovered and has been spotted dining out and shopping with Ashley in New York.

In January 2005, the twin moguls decided to spend their second semester in their own individual digs. Mary-Kate moved out of the pair’s three-bedroom Tribeca apartment and into a spacious loft in Soho. Ashley remained in Tribeca.

Actress Mary-Kate Olsen is recovering in a New York hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for a kidney infection. Olsen’s representative, Nicole Caruso, says the star is “resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so.” The former child star and fashion line creator recently said she was in good health following her 2004 stay at Utah’s Cirque Lodge to treat an eating disorder.

Olsen rose to fame on TV’s “Full House” in a shared role with her twin sister, Ashley. She recently starred on Showtime’s “Weeds.” She co-stars with Ben Kingsley in “The Wackness,” slated for release next year.

This fashion collection is due to be released in the Fall of 2008. That is pretty far away and she has diverged her news. The anticipated prices range from $20 – $65. Has Sheryl taken inflation into account? We’re relieved to note that these pieces sound very affordable.

Becoming a sales person is the next best option to working in Hollywood. When you’re down and out of acting roles, you can still play the part of a celebrity designer or clothes salesperson.
