Singer Mariah Carey says she can sympathize with Rihanna, who was assaulted by Chris Brown in February, because she has been a victim of abuse herself.

In the CNN interview with Larry King, Mariah Carey was asked how she reacted to the news of Rihanna. Carey, 40, responds, “I was very sequestered, as you know, when I first started out … I wasn’t really allowed out of the house, so I can’t imagine what she went through.”

When asked if she had ever been a victim herself, Carey said,”Emotionally, mentally, in other ways … It’s scary,” she says. “You know, I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in. If your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in – which I won’t harp on – for me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing, where the person was in control of my life.”

In the interview, Mariah addressed the pregnancy rumors and told Larry King,  “It would be the happiest thing in my life, but what I’m saying is right now with this movie [Precious] coming out, with the next few singles from the album and those things that I’m doing, I need to focus on that, because I cannot do the having-a-child thing halfway.”

“I wouldn’t be just like, ‘Oh, I’m having a child, Yay! Let me get a nanny so I can give her the baby. Take the kid,’ ” she adds. “That doesn’t work for me. I don’t believe in that.”

Mariah Carey had an embarrassing incident when she nearly tripped and fell on Monday night’s Jay Leno show. Read more and see video of Mariah’s near-fall below.

Mariah Carey showed off her curves in a low cut black dress and super high heels. But those sexy heels almost caused Mariah to eat the floor when she tripped and stumbled before composing herself.

Carey laughed off the incident and told Jay Leno, “You know when I tripped, I had choreographed that earlier!”

After Mariah’s interview, Leno helped the singer avoid any other mishaps by escorting her off the stage.

Mariah looks a bit more curvy than usual which has led many to speculate she and her hubby Nick Cannon could be expecting.

Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon have always planned on having children, but is Mariah Carey possibly pregnant?  Mariah appeared at the “Precious” premiere looking quite a bit fuller in the mid-section. Read more on Mariah below.

Mariah Carey showed up to the premiere of “Precious” with her husband Nick Cannon and certainly appeared to have a baby bump!  Of course it could be a food baby but with all the talk of wanting to get pregnant… could it be Mariah is finally expecting?

In early October Nick and Mariah talked with SIRIUS XM’s Morning Mash Up and Mariah said she wasn’t pregnant but that she does have names picked out already.

“We have to keep the name a secret, because if we told everybody, then somebody might use it and then we have to change it, and then it wouldn’t be as good. We picked these names out a long time ago.”

Nick said their secret to a happy marriage was“Lots of sex!”

Eminem released a new track called ” The Warning”. In the song, Eminem disses Mariah Carey and gives intimate details of  their brief relationship. Check out the audio video below!

The feud between Mariah Carey ane Eminem is on now!  Eminem has released a major diss track directed at Mariah Carey.

“Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m pissed off,” he says before he starts his rap.

“You wanna hear something wick wack?/ I got the same exact tattoo that’s on Nick’s back,” he says, referring to Carey’s husband Nick Cannon.

Eminem also slams Mariah Carey for mocking him in her latest music video, “Obsessed.”

“Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?/ Wow Mariah, didn’t expect ya to go b—s out./ B—h, shut the f— up before I put all those phone calls out/ When you was wilding out/ Before Nick, when you was on my di–,” he raps.

But that’s not all! Eminem even threatens to reveal personal pictures he has of Mariah!

“Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?” he asks.

The feud started between Mariah and Eminem earlier this year after Eminem name-dropped Carey in the track “Bagpipes From Baghdad” from his latest album Relapse.

“Mariah whatever happened to us / Why did we ever have to break-up?” he rapped. “Nick Cannon, you better back the f— up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”

Mariah’s husband, Nick Cannon took to his blog, calling the rapper “Slim Lamey.” He added that Eminem is “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from 8 years ago.”

Nick Cannon and wife Mariah Carey have sought the help of a fertility specialist in order to have a baby.Read more on Mariah Carey below.

Nick Cannon, 28, and singer Mariah Carey, 39, will be celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary next month. And guess the couple is ready to welcome a baby.

According to The National Enquirer, the fertility clinic specializes in in vitro fertilization and has been used by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Richie.

“Mariah and Nick are trying anything and everything to conceive,” a spywitness claims. “After almost a year of trying the natural way they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true. Mariah turns 39 this month, and she really wants to give birth before her 40th birthday.”

The tabloid spy adds, “Mariah has cut out fast food and junk food. She’s also taking prenatal vitamins and nutritional supplements.”

“If they get pregnant soon, they won’t make an announcement until the three month mark, just to be on the safe side.”

Sources close to Mariah Carey have reportedly told The Daily News, “Costume designers and dancers were all called Wednesday and told the tour is off.

“Most were hysterically crying because they were relying on her for a paycheck this holiday season.”

The ENQUIRER first revealed Mariah was pregnant with first child with hubby Nick Cannon earlier this week after a visit to her LA ob/gyn had her exiting to cheers from her entourage as she showed off a sonogram printout.

Her flack denied the tour plans saying “it was discussed but not confirmed.”  As to the thrush’s pregnancy the rep reiterated, “I have not been told she’s pregnant.”

Mariah Carey was squirming a bit in her seat during her appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, after being asked if Carey was pregnant.

Mariah Carey was a guest on Ellen DeGeneres’ show on Tuesday to promote her new single, “I Stay in Love.”

Ellen DeGeneres popped open a bottle of champagne in a pretend pregnancy celebration.

But Carey did nothing to quell pregnancy rumors when she refused to drink the champagne.

A shocked Carey said, “I can’t believe you did this to me, Ellen. This is peer pressure!”

But DeGeneres didn’t let the issue go, asking the Grammy-winner again if she was with child, to which Carey replied, “I can’t believe her. … I didn’t say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home like, on the computer like, ‘What are you talking about?’ We will let you know when we’re going to have a family.”

Carey revealed earlier this month she only considered becoming a mother after marrying Cannon in April: “I’ve changed my mind because I am with The One. I think we would make good parents, and that we’d be able to figure everything out together.”

Mariah Carey, 38, and her husband, Nick Cannon, 27, had a belated wedding party in New York last weekend. Then, the celebrity couple traveled to the Mediterranean for a second honeymoon.

Mariah Carey was on board a luxury yacht. She was seen enjoying a dip in the Mediterranean sea. Her diva attitude was supported when she had had two assistants on hand to help her towel dry after her swim.

Mariah had earlier revealed that she liked swimming as an exercise because it made her exercise twice as hard without feeling it. Water acted as a resistance and it required twice the amount of effort to swim and push against the resistance.

Mariah and Nick were seen enjoying water activities like boating and sight-seeing in the Mediterranean region.

Mariah and Nick were seen wearing their respective wedding rings and acting very close to each other. One month ago, Mariah had said that she did not want children. After her marriage, she said that she would like to have children and raise them up by giving them the best childhood experiences possible.

Nick revealed that Mariah kept quiet on his first proposal. On his second proposal, Mariah finally accepted him.
