Madonna is set to travel with her adopted four year-old daughter Mercy to visit with her father in Malawi. Read more on this story below.

Madonna will take little Mercy to Malawi next week so she can spend some time with her father James Kambewa.

Madonna thinks it’s a good idea for Mercy to bond with her father, who was originally opposed to the adoption. She hopes he can play a role in Mercy’s life.

A source Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Madonna wants Mercy to learn all about her culture and the community where she was born. She realises her kids need a sense of home and she’s determined to do all she can to give that to them. She doesn’t want to deny Mercy anything in life – and that includes meeting her dad if that’s possible.”

Mercy’s father claims that he was told Mercy had died at the time  of her birth along with her 19 year-old mother.

After he learned she was alive he opposed the adoption by Madonna and wanted Mercy to live with him.

He said: “I don’t want her to live with Madonna, I want her to be with me. Until now everyone thought Mercy had no father but she has, and I will do anything to prove to the courts that I am her dad and that she should remain with me.”

Madonna is reportedly also taking her adopted three year-old Malawian son,.David Banda, along too.

The singer is scheduled to have dinner with Malawian president Dr Bingu Wa Mutharika, before flying on to New York.

Madonna may get kicked out of her Central Park West apartment after neighbors are complaining about the noise level. Read more on the lawsuit against Madonna below.

A neighbor of Madonna’s named Karen George has filed a lawsuit claiming that Madonna has turned her apartment into a rehearsal studio. She says everyone in the apartment building is having to deal with the”blaring music, stomping and shaking walls” daily.

The legal documents stated there was, “unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music” that seeps through the walls, ceilings and radiators for three hours a day.

The co-op board has already threatened to evict Madonna and everyone in the building is angry over the daily blaring of music.

Although Guy Ritchie says he still loves his ex-wife Madonna, he tells the November issue of Esquire that Madonna is “retarded”. Read more of what Guy Ritchie had to say below.

Now a year after the couple divorced, director Guy Ritchie told Esquire that although Madonna is very talented and determined, but then follows these comments up with saying she is retarded.

“She’s a manifester, if there ever was one,” he says. “First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any twenty-three-year-old, she’ll outwork them, outdance them, outperform them. The woman is broad.”

“And, of course, here you go: I still love her,” he says. “But she’s retarded, too.”

Guy Ritchie also spoke about the pain of divorce.

“You can’t tell someone when they’re getting divorced that their pain is an illusion,” he says. “I’m fucking telling you, I feel it, I’ve been through that. You have, too. No one can say you don’t feel that.”

Madonna, who is already mother to daughter Lourdes, 12, son Rocco, nine, and adopted children, David and Mercy, both four  years-old isn’t ruling out more children in the future. Read more on Madonna’s plans below.

Madonna is extremely busy but says she may want more children in the future.

Asked if she will be a mother again, she replied: “Who knows? I have my hands full right now! I have no idea! That’s all I’m going to say. But we never say never.”

But Madonna, who is reportedly planning on marrying her young boyfriend, Jesus Luz, has her hands full with several movie and charity projects.

She explained: “I have several projects going. I have another script that I’ve written, and I want to direct another film. Hopefully, I’ll be doing that next year. I also have many projects going on in Africa right now that I want to bring to fruition, like building a girls school and working on two new documentaries.”

If Madonna does decide to go for a fifth child, she will definitely have help from daughter Lourdes.

She told website Popeater: “Lourdes is super-sister. She’s amazing with the little ones. She has the typical relationship with her brother, Rocco. They’re like, ‘I love you/I hate you’ every five minutes. But with the two little ones, she’s great. She’s amazing. Very protective.”

Lourdes appears in the video for ‘Celebration’ but Madonna thinks Lourdes would prefer to be an actress.

She said: “I don’t think she wants to be a singer. I think she wants to be an actress. I’m fine with it, as long as she finishes school, and takes it seriously. She also plays piano, and she’s really into clothes and fashion and style.”

Madonna was quoted as stating, “It can go either way. But why not? I could definitely see myself marrying him. Yes, it’s definitely on the table.

“He’s so sweet. He checks in with me all the time. I probably should do the same, but you know me. I think he gets it now that I’m a little, shall we say, self-involved.”

Madonna’s pal says it certainly wouldn’t be a quiet affair. Madonna would have a huge wedding. Her relative said “She knows that’s what Jesus wants. She has a lot of wonderful memories of both of her weddings. She doesn’t want to slip off and do it quietly. She definitely wants a big and rather fantastic affair.”

Madonna, 51, has been dating Jesus Luz, 22, for nine months now.

A friend of the couple said of their relationship: ‘He respects her, that’s number one. He has learned so much from her. He’s amazed at how well-rounded she is, the way she juggles her career with her life as a mother, for instance. He understands that she’s self-involved, too.’

Another friend added: ‘Of course, the sex between them is scorching hot. To be candid, it’s what’s driving things.’

Madonna has reportedly reconciled with her estranged brother Christopher Ciccone, a year after he published a book about their lives. Read more on this story below.

Madonna was allegedly furious over Ciccone’s tell-all book called “Life With My Sister Madonna”, which told about all Madonna’s affairs.

Ciccone also angered Madonna when he spoke to the media after her split from Guy Ritchie in late 2008.

The British tabloid the Sunday Mirror said Madonna has sent her estranged brother an email in an attempt to repair their broken relationship.

A source tells the publication, “Madonna did it more for her family than for herself. Her feud with Chris was creating huge tension within the family so she decided to be the bigger person. It’s been a nightmare. She’s calmed down since the book and had time to think. She realises blood is thicker than water and she will meet with him this year in L.A.”

Madonna reportedly shocked people in London on Sunday as she showed off her freakish biceps and thick bulging veins on her arms in her white t-shirt. Is Madonna overdoing her workouts?  Read more below.

It’s no secret that Madonna takes exercise seriously with her two hour work-outs, six days a week…. but is it too much?

And just how did Madonna get her arms to look that way?

“Oftentimes when your body fat is really, really, low, as Madonna’s is, you’re going to see veins pop,” explained Leslie Bonci, director of sports nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. “Her body fat is minimal, and she does a lot of strength training workouts that are going to build her muscles to look more visible.”

But is it healthy?

“When muscles look that way, it’s often the result of pretty restrictive eating and dehydration,” Bonci said, noting the “pop” of Madonna’s veins mimics the appearance bodybuilders attempt to achieve for competitions.

“With bodybuilders, the goal is to be sinewy, to make everything stand out. How do you get to that goal? You restrict your fluid intake. But then you might collapse on stage.”

Madonna is currently back in London with her children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8, David Banda, 3 and new adopted tot Mercy, 4, after traveling around Europe with them in her Sticky And Sweet tour.

Madonna was performing her classic hit called “Holiday” in London when a photo of Michael Jackson appeared on the huge screen above the stage. At that moment a Michael Jackson impersonator appeared on stage.

The Jackson impersonator danced as they music changed to Jackson’s hit “Wanna Be Starting Something.”

After the tribute, Madonna told the crowd, “Let’s give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known.”

Mercy Chifundo James, the precious little girl Madonna adopted from Malawi, was secretly flown from her home country to London early Saturday morning. Read more on Madonna’s adopted daughter Mercy James below.

Madonna and her other children flew to London to meet up with her newly adopted daughter,  Mercy James, 3, who was being flown in from Malawi.

“A private jet flew in from South Africa and collected her at five minutes to six last evening,” an airport source tells PEOPLE. “She connected to London from Johannesburg at 10:30 p.m.”

Little Mercy will join big sister Lourdes and brothers Rocco and David Banda (who was also adopted from Malawi).

Malawi’s highest court approved the adoption June 12, overturning the previous ruling  in April stating that Madonna had not spent enough time in Malawi to be given another child.

“Mercy James left Malawi to join Madonna on Friday night,” the official told AFP, adding that the three-year-old was accompanied on the private jet by a nanny, the nanny’s husband and Phillip Bosphe, the head of Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi.

They were flying to London via South Africa, he added.

An employee at Kumbali Lodge where the group stayed, confirmed that the girl had left with them.

Last Sunday, a Malawian man, James Kambewa, who says he is the girl’s father told AFP he had given up his fight to block the adoption, and said he wished the singer well.

On June 12 Malawi’s Supreme Court granted Madonna’s adoption of Chifundo James, whose name means “Mercy,” after a lower court had turned it down on the grounds that the star had failed to meet an 18-month residency requirement.

Madonna, 50, first met Mercy at Kondanani orphanage in the southern Malawi district of Thyolo, 30 kilometres (20 miles) from the commercial capital Blantyre, during her first visit to the poor southern African nation in 2006.

She had already adopted another Malawian child, David Banda, and said that she wanted him to have a sibling from his home country. The residency requirement was also waived in his case.

The application had been met by fierce criticism by child welfare groups and rights activists who were opposed to the singer’s efforts to take another child away from the country.

They argued that international adoption should be viewed as a last resort, even though Malawi is home to an estimated 560,000 children who have lost at least one parent to AIDS.

Malawi has no law specifically on international adoption, leaving judges to decide each petition case by case.

Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi, provides support for orphans and vulnerable children.

She has built a multi-purpose community centre at Mphandula village, 50 kilometres from Lilongwe, which looks after more than 8,000 orphans from scores of villages in the area.

Malawi’s highest court ruled on Friday that Madonna can adopt the little girl, 3-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James, from their country. Read more on Madonna and Mercy below.

After being told at first that she could not adopt Mercy due to not residing in the country long enough, but Madonna appealed to the highest court in  her quest to adopt the little girl.

“It’s the wee hours of morning in New York, but she is excited at the news,” Madonna’s lawyer Alan Chinula told the Associated Press. “As her lawyer, I am happy that this has settled this contentious issue.”

Sources from the court have stated that Mercy could be with Madonna as early as next week. “Her passport is already being prepared – we’re not going to pause this over the weekend,” says a senior-level insider.

“Madonna and Mercy should be together by Wednesday [next week].”

Mercy is currently being transferred to the Kumbali lodge, the place Madonna resides while staying in Malawi.

Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo praised Madonna’s commitment to helping disadvantaged children and bashed “old laws” that prevented first adoption attempts.

“The matter of residence should be determined at the time of application of the adoption,” Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo said. “In this case, Madonna was in Malawi not by chance but by intention. She is looking after several orphans whose welfare depends on her. She can therefore not be described as a sojourner.”

He later added: “Every child has the right to love.”
