Kanye West and his road manager had their charges dropped for their airport scuffle with photgraphers by a Los angeles court. Read more on Kanye West’s pap incident below.

Rapper Kanye West and his bodyguard Don Crowley were facing misdemeanor charges after they struggled with two photographers in which camera equipment was broken and one of the paps were slightly injured last September.

Los Angeles’ Superior Court commissioner, Mark Zuckman, dismissed the case after West’s lawyer, Blair Berk, said Kanye had taken 12 hours of anger management classes.

Kanye West, 32, also reached a civil settlement with the photographers over the broken cameras.

Judge Zuckman asked that both men perform 50 hours of community service.

Kanye West did not appear in court on Friday.

Jay-Z has come forward to defend his friend Kanye and says all the backlash isn’t justified because “he didn’t kill anybody”.

Kanye West has been slammed by fellow celebrities and fans (and even the President) after taking the stage during Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video acceptance speech last Sunday to say he thought the prize belonged to Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce.

Kanye has apologized both personally and publicly to Taylor Swift, but Jay-Z feels the media has been to hard on West.

While Jay-Z found it “rude” of West and “inappropriate at the time” to rush the stage, but he understands why he was moved to do what he did.

Jay-Z says, “Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that’s the way he really felt. I think it was rude, but the way they’re treating him.

“He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed. (He’s) a super passionate person.”

Jay-Z is correct… Kanye didn’t kill anybody but he ruined what should have been a wonderful moment in Taylor Swift’s career.

In an “off the record” segment of Obama’s interview with CNBC, Obama commented on the Kanye West and Taylor Swift incident saying that Kanye acted like a “Jackass”.  Read more and hear the actual audio of Obama slamming Kanye below.

It’s pretty bad when the President of the United States calls you a Jackass.  And that’s just what happened…

Obama’s comments were caught by ABC newsman Terry Moran. Moran tweeted: “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”

But because the comments were supposed to be off the record, Moran took the tweet down… but not before many people read it!

The audio was captured just before Obama’s interview with CNBC, and Obama was discussing Kanye’s antics onstage at the MTV awards and said, “I thought that was really inappropriate,” adding, “He’s a jackass.”

Immediately after his comments the President said, “Cut the President some slack.”

Just two days after Taylor Swift endured Kanye West’s stage intrusion at the MTV Video Music Awards, Swift appeared on today’s episode of The View to talk about the incident. Read more and see Taylor Swift on The View’s video below.

When Taylor Swift was asked what exactly was going through her mind as Kanye interrupted her acceptance speech for Best Female Video, Swift replied, “I think my overall thought process went something like: ‘Wow, I can’t believe I won… This is awesome… Don’t trip and fall… I’m gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool… Oh, Kanye West is here!’,” Swift told the ladies on The View, “‘Cool haircut… What are you doing there? And then, Ouch. And then, I guess I’m not gonna be able to thank the fans.’ ”

Swift was reportedly in tears backstage after the Kanye West incident but the show’s schedule forced her to recover quickly. Taylor said, “I’m not gonna say that I wasn’t riled by it. I had to perform live five minutes later, so I had to get myself back to the place where I could perform.”

Swift said she was overwhelmed by how much support she received though, “There were a lot of people around me backstage that were saying really incredible things and just having my back. And all the other artists that came and showed me love in the hours following it, and all the people tweeting about it and all the fans… I just never imagined that there were that many people out there looking out for me, so it was really wonderful to see that people were out there defending me so I didn’t have to.”

Kanye appeared on The Jay Leno Show and said he wants to apologize to Swift face-to-face for his behavior at the VMAs, and while Swift told The View she’d definitely meet with him, West has yet to reach out in an effort to apologize. Swift added she hasn’t received any phone calls or e-mails from the Kanye camp, either.

It appears if Kanye caught The View’s show today because right after Taylor appeared on the show, Kanye called her to apologize.  Reps at The View say that Swift accepted West’s apology.

Kayne West pissed off so many people by stealing what should have been a special moment for singer Taylor Swift. But Kayne went on Jay Leno to apologize for his actions.

“I immediately knew in the situation that it was wrong,” West told Jay Leno.

In a tense few moments of the show, Kanye was asked what his mother that died in 2007 from her botched cosmetic surgery would have thought about his actions.

“It’s been extremely difficult just dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist,” West said.

West said he always wants to apologize to Taylor Swift in person.

The Comedy Central show worked over the self-important rapper on its show Wednesday night, painting him as a narcissistic figure so out of touch with reality he couldn’t even take a (very politically incorrect) joke.

West’s love of himself and his work has been almost as integral to his image as his music: Just last year, he told The Associated Press that he was the “voice of this generation.” Also recently, he was quoted as saying his greatest regret was not being able to see himself perform live.

Kanye West responds to the South Park cartoon saying it was:

In typical all-caps mode, he wrote: “SOUTH PARK MURDERED ME LAST NIGHT AND IT’S PRETTY FUNNY. IT HURTS MY FEELINGS BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM SOUTH PARK! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON MY EGO THOUGH. HAVING THE CRAZY EGO IS PLAYED OUT IN MY LIFE AND CAREER.”

West said that he started stroking his ego long ago to build up his self esteem — but he now realizes he needs to “GET PAST MYSELF.”

In the self-reflective post, he said that people won’t take him seriously if he keeps it up (perhaps referring to his well-documented meltdowns at awards shows when he didn’t win what he expected).

“I JUST WANT TO BE A DOPER PERSON WHICH STARTS WITH ME NOT ALWAYS TELLING PEOPLE HOW DOPE I THINK I AM,” he said.

But that evening before, West attended a party at the Carling Academy and didn’t worry about locating a toilet backstage and instead relieved himself on the floor of the dressing room he shared with the “Ting Tings”. Kanye West has a bit of an attitude and has angered fans showing up late to his shows, but this incident takes things to the extreme.

Kanye West was sharing a dressing room with the band the “Ting Tings” and decided to just take a leak on the floor instead of locating the restroom.

Kanye West has been arrested at LAX for felony vandalism. Kanye reportedly attacked a photographer, and smashed his camera.

Kanye West has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for vandalism after getting into it with a photographer.

An airport spokesman said Kanye West’s bodyguard was also arrested.

Marshall Lowe, the airport spokesman said that Kanye West go into an altercation with a photographer and that Kanye broke the guy’s camera, valued at over $10,000.

The incident happened before West and his manager, who was not identified, cleared a security screening at the airport.

Lowe says police are continuing to interview witnesses and West may be booked later this morning.

TMZ has an interesting first person account of the Kanye arrest events, captured by their photographer, Erik. Here is what TMZ reports:

“Erik says he was at Terminal 4 (American Airlines) when he noticed a still photog taking several pictures of Kanye West. Erik says West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, “Police, help!” Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.

Erik then went over to Kanye, his camera rolling, when Kanye’s bodyguard walked up to him, realized Erik was taping, and said, “Give me the camera, give me the camera.” Erik responded that he had a press pass and had a right to shoot. The assistant then grabbed the camera, ripped off the mic and viewfinder and smashed it to the ground.

Erik says Kanye then tried to leave to board his plane, but cops stopped him before he got to security. The cops then interviewed Erik, the still photog, Kanye and his assistant..

This is where it gets crazy. The cops asked Erik if he videotaped the incident and Erik said he had. That’s when Kanye lunged toward him and said, “Give me the fu***ng videotape.” Cops had to restrain Kanye as he tried coming at Erik.”

West, the 31-year-old rapper and his road manager, Don Crowley, were arrested at 7:51 a.m., both on charges of felony vandalism. They remain in police custody.

Dr Jan Adams, the doctor who did some cosmetic surgery for Dr Donda West, has a medical licence that has expired. Donda West was Kanye West’s mother. She died last year from complications that developed after her surgery.

California Medical Board’s spokesperson told the press that Dr Jan Adams’ medical licence expired after the midnight of Wed. June 25.

Jan Adams, aka January Adams, was arrested on Thur. June 26 at around 2:45 am. He has a DUI charge. Police said he was driving up a ramp the wrong way. He failed a field sobriety test and was found to have a suspended driving licence. Dr Jan Adams is held in the Solano County Jail while he waits for his bail.
