Singer Joss Stone was so desperate to release her album, ‘Colour Me Free’, that she actually offered her house to the record company to pay for putting her record out. Read more on this story below.

The ‘Super Duper Love’ singer wanted her album ‘Colour Me Free’ released, but her label EMI felt it wasn’t commercial enough to sell so Joss came up with her own plan.

She said: “It got to the point where I said, ‘Take my house and release the record’. The thing is, I just made an album and I wanted people to like it. I did not think anything of it. Why did it have to be a big deal? Why does it have to focus on being a number one song? F**k that, I can’t be bothered.”

EMI finally agreed to release ‘Colour Me Free’, but said they would not promote the release.

But Joss is positive that her album will do well.

She added: “EMI were running a business. It’s not about you having a lovely time in the studio… so it’s got a low budget? That’s fine by me. I just wanted to have artistic freedom. I’m tired of all the silliness.

“We will cross our fingers and see what we can muster. We’ll maybe see what we can do ourselves.”

Joss Stone, pop singer, actually headbutted her brother as a family baptism turned into a nasty brawl!

Stone, 21, was said to be named godmother to half-brother Daniel Skillin’s year-old son Louis but angered her family by arriving 30 minutes late to the baptism.

Joss Stone refused to properly read out the church order of service, as agreed, and elderly relatives confronted Stone about it, and she called them “old biddies”.

When ex-heroin addict Daniel, 29, later questioned her about her actions, she turned violent. One guest revealed: “She was absolutely furious and they had a full-blown argument. They were screaming at each other and the next thing, Joss headbutted him.

“Other family members ran over to break it up and she stormed off. It turned from a nice family affair into a brawl between Joss and her brother. No one could believe it.”

Joss Stone blamed the traffic for her arriving late to St George’s Church in Taunton, Somerset. But the guest said: “You would think as the kid’s godmother she’d be on time. And as she recited the order of service, she failed to read what she was given.

“It showed lack of respect to the family,” a family member related.

“The priest had to remind her of her responsibilities as a godparent and tell her to answer from the sheet. It was embarrassing to see her mumble the wrong words. A couple of relatives were not happy and told her so afterwards. But Joss said she wouldn’t ‘take abuse off a bunch of old biddies’.”

Rev John Cunningham later confirmed he had reminded Joss Stone of her reading but said: “The conversation I had is between me and her.” The brawl completely exploded after the group went to Daniel’s home.

One friend said: “She had been looking forward to the baptism. No one seemed bothered that she was a little late but a few people from Daniel’s side had a go.”

Others thought people were giving Stone a hard time about her actions at the ceremony and said, “At Daniel’s house she got lots of stick and eventually had a go back. But she didn’t want trouble and when things got a bit too heated she left. She was really upset.”

Joss has had a stormy relationship with Daniel but supported him in his battle with drugs, and recently told him: “I love you, don’t go anywhere ever again because I missed you.”

Whoah, sounds like Joss Stone is a “crazy bitch”.

Sales had been declining in recent years and it was hoped that Joss Stone would bring her magic into reversing this downward trend. There were newer brands of chocolates and consumers were caught in the competition.

The Flake commercials were stopped in 2004 because of widespread protests over the portrayal of sexy women biting into Flake chocolates. There was too much sex appeal in the suggestive expressions of the woman biting into the chocolate bar. Flake hired Joss Stone because the spokesperson said she reflected the “Flake girl’s attitude to life.”
