Actor turned hip hop artist Joaquin Phoenix continues to act like a freak! Phoenix jumped off stage to take on a “fan” at his hip-hop show in Miami. See the video of Joaquin confronting the heckler below.

Joaquin Phoenix, 34, got on stage around 1:50 a.m. at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel’s nightclub, LIV.

Near the end of his first song, Phoenix walked to the edge of the right side of the stage and called out an audience member whom he thought was heckling him.

“Bitch,” Phoenix yelled. “This is a $3,000 f—–g suit!”

Joaquin then jumped into the crowd as security rushed after him.

It was unclear whether the two men scuffled, but security dragged Phoenix away as the crowd chanted “Joaquin! Joaquin! Joaquin!’”

His brother-in-law, Casey Affleck — who is making a documentary about Phoenix’s career leap from acting to rapping — filmed the entire incident.

Phoenix’s strange behavior, which includes a bizarre Feb. 11 Late Show With David Letterman appearance could just be part of an elaborate hoax.

But Paul Dobransky — a relationships expert and author of The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love — recently told the Los Angeles Times that Phoenix could also be schizophrenic, pointing to his “socially inappropriate behavior”

His rep denied the claims: “How absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who has no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them.”

So is Joaquin Phoenix crazy or is he fooling us all?

Funny guy Ben Stiller shocked the audience of the Academy Awards by mimicking Joaquin Phoenix and his strange behavior recently. Check out Ben Stiller’s Oscar video below.

Ben Stiller appeared on stage with Natalie Portman wearing dark glasses and sporting a huge scruffy beard. Stiller proceeded to mock Phoenix referring to his bizarre appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman.”

“What’s going on with you?” asked Natalie Portman.

“Nothing. I just want to retire from being the funny guy, that’s all,” Stiller mumbled imitating Phoenix.

“You look like you work at a Hasidic meth lab,” she told him.

When Portman commented about his gum chewing, Stiller took it out of his mouth and stuck it on the podium. Phoenix had stuck his under Letterman’s desk.

During Phoenix’s appearance on David Letterman in February, Phoenix sported the huge beard and dark glasses and mumbled his way through the interview acting strangely.

Joaquin said he was serious about giving up acting to pursue music and said he’d like to return to the show someday as a musical guest.

“You know, that seems unlikely,” Letterman told him.

Joaquin Phoenix made a very strange and awkward appearance on David Letterman on Wednesday to promote his movie “Two Lovers”.  Watch Joaquin Phoenix’s interview on Letterman below, it’s almost painful to watch.

Joaquin Phoenix has said that he is retiring from his acting career to focus on a hip-hop career. This almost seems like a joke, but sadly it seems to be true.

Phoenix acted very peculiar and unresponsive for part of the interview, sometimes answering shortly if at all.

Joaquin Phoenix didn’t seem to like Letterman teasing him about his lack of response in the interview.

Phoenix had a freaky exchange with Paul Shaffer and even acted annoyed at the audience and wouldn’t set up the clip from the movie “Two Lovers”. As if that is not enough to raise eyebrows, Joaquin took his gum out of his mouth and stuck it to Letterman’s desk. WTF?

David Letterman ended the weird interview with Phoenix by stating, “Joaquin, I’m sorry you couldn’t be here tonight.”

Joaquin Phoenix took to the stage at Vegas nightclub Lavo this weekend to debut three hip-hop songs from his upcoming album. Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix did say he planned to retire from acting to pursue a career in music.  But who would have believed Phoenix would want to be a rapper?

Joaquin Phoenix made his “rapping debut” with a public performance in Las Vegas. Friends and family gathered at club LAVO to encourage Joaquin in his new career. Joaquin performed three songs from his debut album that supposedly was produced by Sean Combs. The crowd actually seemed to enjoy his performance.

Casey Affleck, the brother of Ben Affleck and husband of Joaquin’s sister Summer, is directing a documentary that will chronicle Phoenix’s journey in his music career. The film began last night with Joaquin’s first public performance. Joaquin had a pretty embarrassing moment when he fell into the crowd.

Phoenix’s final acting role is in the film ‘Two Lovers’ with Gwyneth Paltrow. ‘Two Lovers’ will be released in February 2009. His rap debut CD does not have an announced release date.

Joaquin, I was unaware that you were homeless and living in a box… The once famous actor used to be one of the hottest and most successful not too long ago. Joaquin has been in famous films such as Walk the Line, Signs, Ladder 49 and many others.

Since giving up movies and changing to a music career, Joaquin has tried to find inspiration by looking like a homeless bum. He and Casey Affleck hosted a night at LAVO nightclub in Vegas.
