David Beckham is out of Gillette.

David Beckham, Gillette

David Beckham’s modeling contract with Gillette has ended and he was replaced by 3 sports celebrities. Thierry Henry, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer would now represent the face of Gillette in ad campaigns. It was rumored that David left Gillette because he desired a new deal with a cut of the profits.

David would not be worried since he still had contracts with Armani, Motorola, Coty, Adidas and Pepsi. He had left Vodaphone and Police sunglasses. David had been praised for his selling power, dubbed as the “Beckham effect.” When he was with Real Madrid, he supposedly brought the club around £300 million in marketing money.

The new Gillette ad would be scripted with the 3 sports celebrities speaking on the importance of preparation in their work. Shaving well was part of their preparation. Gillette would do a good job!

David Beckham

David Beckham has modeled for another pair of Armani briefs but the photos have a less favorable reaction. Let’s blame the briefs, not the man. The black color did not show up the bulge and the underwear appeared flat on the user. It might have been a deliberate attempt to downplay the fuss caused by the earlier photo. The contrasting color could have been chosen to make a difference since the previous shot was on a pair of white briefs.

There would be many more Beckham photos modeling underwear since David had signed a 3 year contract with Armani. The deal was reportedly worth £ 20 million.

There are more Beckham photos for comparisons below.
