Colin Farrell has confirmed that he and his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda are expecting a baby. Read more on Colin and Alicja’s baby news below.

The actor confirmed Alicja Bachleda is pregnant at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Saturday evening, September 12.

Farrell reportedly began dating Alicja Bachleda, a Polish actress, earlier this year.

“Yeah, I’m going to be a father again,” Farrell, 33, confirms to People at the premiere of Ondine at the Toronto Film Festival. “I’m very excited man! Very! There is nothing more exciting really.”

And what is Colin looking forward to? “Everything. The whole thing,” he says. “I will take it as it comes. Even changing dirty diapers.”

This will be the first baby for Bachleda, 26, and the second for Farrell, who has a son, James, 6, with model Kim Bordenave.

Colin Farrell recently said in an interview with a BBC talk show that he “was dying” before he checked into rehab several years ago. Farrell said he was “fairly drunk and high for 16 years”. Read more on Colin Farrell’s drug problems and rehab below.

On Jonathan Ross’s BBC talk show, Colin Farrell said of his time after rehab:

“I came back into the world and everything was in a degree of focus that I hadn’t experienced… Desperation will allow you to do incredible things in the name of survival.
“So much of the work that I did I was struggling so hard to keep my shit together. A lot of my energy was going into trying not to have a complete meltdown. By the end of Miami Vice I was just done.

“I had created an environment for myself, a way of living for myself which, on the outside, seemed incredibly gregarious and vivacious.

“I don’t believe I have any chemical predisposition towards depression, but let’s just say I was suffering from a spiritual malady for years and I indulged it.

“To be in pain, if it’s self-perpetuated, can be very sweet at times. You can feel very alive when you’re in pain, and I also know that from another perspective, like when somebody who I love in my life has passed away.

“There is something incredibly internally vivacious about feeling pain or mourning, even if it’s something as egocentric or self-indulgent as mourning for yourself, or pitying yourself.”

Colin Farrell also talked about the release of a sex tape made with former girlfriend Nicole Narain in July 2005. Of course the sex tape hit the internet at dirtycolin.com after falling into the wrong hands. “An expensive 14 minutes, that one… It seemed like a good idea at the time.

“The man in charge said I hope you’ve learned your lesson Mr Farrell and I said ‘absolutely, next time I’ll take the tape with me’.”

He added, “I think I was high.”

Colin Farrell has made a strange confession. He said that he was addicted to Russian style steam baths that involved being coated with honey.

He first found his love for this fad when he started visiting New York’s 10^th Street Russian and Turkish Baths. Los Angeles has these bath houses too and Colin is a regular customer there.

Colin gave an interview to GQ magazine where he revealed his current passion for Russian baths. He said that the procedure made him feel very basic or down to earth. He loved being coated with honey and getting steamed in the bath.

Colin also made other confessions. He said that he had stayed in rehab to kick his old habits of taking ecstasy, cocaine, speed, Jack Daniels and wine.

Dessarae Bradford, the authoress of the book, “Colin Farrell: Dark Twisted Puppy”, has been arrested. She was arrested on suspicion of prostitution, in Hollywood.

Dessarae has released a statement. She said that she was innocent of all charges. She claimed that she was violated and traumatized. Dessarae told her version of the story. She was walking along Sunset Blvd at around 11:30 pm when a man pulled up next to her in a jeep. He talked to her and then arrested her for prostitution. He took 20 minutes to decide that she was soliciting and arrested her.

Dessarae has said that she intended to sue LAPD for wrongful arrest.

Our hearts go out to Colin Farrell in this case. He has gone public with the revelation that defective genes have visited his next generation. His son, James, has Angelman Syndrome, a rare form of cerebral palsy.

Colin is not asking for pity but wants to a form a bridge of inspiration to parents who struggle with their kids with similar medical conditions. He is proud of James’ achievement over his speech impediments, developmental delays and seizures, which are typical of sufferers of cerebral palsy.

James struggles with basic functions like walking and talking, since his birth 4 years ago. He just took his first few walking steps at the age of 4. Colin attributes James for bringing his mother, Colin’s ex-girlfriend, Kim Bordenave, and his father closer together as friends.

Colin is now with his current girlfriend, Muireann, but devotes quality time to James too. He is one of the better fathers in our gallery of Children/Celebrity Kids.
