Cheryl Cole, singer in Girls Aloud and an X Factor judge, has confirmed that her marriage to Ashley Cole still stands.

Cheryl Cole appeared in “Friday Night With Jonathan Ross” and spoke about her troubled marriage as a thing of the past. Cole flashed her wedding ring and it was the first time that she has been seen with her marriage ring since the reports f her marital problems broke out.

Cole talked about how her husband and herself have been quietly working on issues and rebuilding their marriage after the big breakdown. Cole also denied that she was rivals with Dannii Minogue, the other female judge in X Factor.

While the judges were at it in X Factor, they encountered a contestant with a sob story. Daniel Evans sang “Sometimes When We Touch” and narrated his personal tragedy.

Daniel Evans said he lost his wife, Jacqueline, 39, six days after her childbirth to daughter Ana-Marie. Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue were moved to tears by his heart-wrenching story. Some readers commented that he should not be encouraging the sympathy vote.

Evans said that his late wife wished that he would audition in X Factor and he wanted to honor her last wish. Cole and Minogue were criticized for shedding tears as they were supposed to remain impartial and fair to all contestants.

Danii revealed that she was sympathetic towards Cheryl’s marital problems after Ashley Cole was exposed for his womanizing ways.

Cheryl Cole supposedly went for a holiday to Thailand. Her beach resort vacation was accompanied by Kimberly and Nicola. Her husband Ashley could have spent Valentine’s day alone.

Jakki supposedly declined his serious advances, although they became friends. All this happened 3 years ago, when Ashley was still with the Arsenal team. Jakki’s friend told the newspaper that Ashley Cole persisted in calling Jakki at night even after he became Cheryl’s husband.
