The 2015 MTV Music Video Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday night, with many interesting (and strange) moments.

Miley Cyrus donned many quirky costumes and was dissed by Nicki Minaj. Kanye West also announced he is running for president in 2020. Oh, brother!

There was plenty of drama and strange moments at the VMAs last night.  A little shade thrown, unexpected tears, and some funny moments.

Kanye West pretended to nap when Taylor Swift won best female video.

Nicki Minaj had a rather tense moment with host Miley Cyrus during her acceptance speech. Nicki won the award for best hip-hop video for “Anaconda,” expressing her gratitude and took a shot at Miley. Cyrus made headlines earlier this week for calling Nicki “not too kind.” Nicki stated, “And now, back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?” Nicki said as she stepped away from the mic. 1x1.trans Video Music Awards 2015 (VMAs) Highlights & Winners List (VIDEOS) Miley appeared shocked, replying, “We’re all in this industry. We all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate sh*t. Nicki, congratuf*cklations.” Nicki’s mic was then quickly turned off, and she was seen calling Miley a b*tch before the cameras stayed on the host.

Justin Bieber took to the VMAs stage to perform “Where Are Ü Now,” which was followed by “What Do You Mean?”

Bieber suddenly broke down in tears as the performance concluded.

Taylor Swift presented Kanye West with his Video Vanguard Award.  Swift joked about their previous VMA incident, saying, “I’m really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but Kanye West has had one of the greatest careers of all time!”

Kanye did a long speech, which ended with him saying he planned to run for president in 2020.  Say what? 1x1.trans Video Music Awards 2015 (VMAs) Highlights & Winners List (VIDEOS)

Host Miley closed out the night with a surprise performance of a new marijuana-inspired track, “Dooo It!” with The Flaming Lips while surrounded by drag queens.
