Actor and comedian Tom Arnold is half the man he used to be, dropping a whopping 89 pounds!

Arnold welcomed a baby boy named Jax and it made him want to get healthier for his little boy.

The 54-year-old comedian and his fourth wife, Ashley Groussman, 38, welcomed Jax Copland Arnold and his son inspired him to lose weight.

Arnold said, “Something inside of me changed. I knew I needed to live as long as I could. The moment I saw Jax, I realized he deserves the best.”

Tom Arnold has struggled with weight issues for many years, topping the scales at 287 pounds.

Arnold admits he used to eat a six-egg omelette with cheese and six turkey sausage links, plus oatmeal for breakfast. His dinners would consist of an extra-large meat pizza with bread sticks dipped in cheese. He also drank up to 15 diet sodas a day.

The actor said, “There was a lot of shame. One time I had a tailor come over and sew the weights into my suits – this is what you wear when you are 210, 220, 240, 300. That saved me the time of going into my closet and getting so upset and frustrated.”

Tom Arnold gave up cake and bread and began hitting the gym doing cardio, circuit training, and abdominal exercises.

His dramatic weight loss and healthier lifestyle has left him feeling more energetic. He adds, “I have tons more energy to play with my son”.

Good for him! That’s quite a transformation the healthy way!
