Supermodel Linda Evangelista and Hard Rock Cafe co-founder, Peter Morton, have split after seven years together.

Their split was reportedly over disagreements over where they should live, the same reason for their brief split in 2010.

Evangelista, 48, began dating the Hard Rock mogul, Peter Morton, 67, in 2006. She was pregnant at the time with her son, Augustin, who was conceived during a short affair with Salma Hayek’s now husband, Francois-Henri Pinault.

The last time Linda and Peter were photographed together was on March 14 at a benefit for the Natural Resources Defense Council in New York.

The have parted ways over the last few months and the supermodel was spotted alone at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York earlier this week.

Linda Evangelista was involved in a very public child-custody battle with Pinault, who she dated from September 2005 until January 2006.

Her lawyer claimed Pinault, who is heir to a staggering $11.5 billion family estate, had demanded she have an abortion as he did not want the child. She refused and he broke up with her.

Evangelista took him to court in 2011 and demanded $46,000 per month to cover expenses including nannies, chauffeurs and bodyguards.

Details of the May 2012 settlement were not released, but a source close to the model said that she wound up getting nearly $50,000 per month in child support.

Peter Morton, who bought Elvis Presley’s Los Angeles Mansion for $9.8 million late last year, reportedly prefers Malibu to New York while Linda liked to spend time in Canada and in New York.

Insiders reveal Linda Evangelista did not have the approval of Morton’s family.

A source said, “Some members of Peter’s family were not too fond of her, and were dismayed when she appeared around last Thanksgiving with a large diamond ring on her finger. But the marriage never happened.”
