The two singers tied the knot in the south of France, according to the CEO of the talent company that reps her, Mike Heller.
Heller wrote on his Twitter this morning, “I’m in south of France about to see my little Rok star #avril get married I am so happy to be part of this special celebration. (Sic)”
He later added, “No pictures will be sent since this is #avril wedding but I will tell you everyone is so excited.”
Avril Lavigne, 28, previously revealed she was planning a big wedding, saying, “I just want to make sure I really enjoy this amazing time and I want all the guests who come to have this once in a lifetime experience. I want everyone to say, ‘Wow!’ and for it to be special for everyone, not just us.”
Avril, who was previously married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, fell for Chad, 38, last summer as they worked together on her fifth studio album.
Avril Lavigne gushed about Kroeger, stating, “I feel most beautiful when I’m around Chad. He makes me feel so beautiful, and I’m not one who really dresses up that much. I’m usually in the studio in regular, comfy clothes. I wear some pretty out-there designs. He likes my style – he thinks I’m cute.”
Chad Kroeger proposed to her with a 14-carat diamond ring last August, after just a month of dating.
She talked about the romantic proposal previously, saying, “I had been making this scrapbook of my time in the studio. I walk over and he had taken a photo of himself holding the ring box and put the Polaroid in my scrapbook. Because I had stickers everywhere he put in ‘Will you marry me?’ It was really romantic and kind of made sense.”
Chad Kroeger said, “You can travel the world and sing songs to thousands of people and not have your heartbeat raised at all. You get down on one knee and commit yourself to a woman for the rest of your life. I was very nervous!”
The pair became engaged in August of 2012 and seem to be even more in love than ever.
Avril has also been working on her own fashion line, Abbey Dawn, since 2008.
Nickelback has lots of haters, which we don’t understand at all…they are awesome!
