Dennis Quaid has reconciled with his estranged wife, Kimberly, after being separated for the past few months.
Insiders reveal the divorce is still proceeding because they both signed divorce documents, but they have had a change of heart and have reunited.
Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington-Quaid initially separated in October after eight years of marriage.
Kimberly had stated she was “fed up” with Dennis’ cheating ways and wanted out of the marriage.
She was also seeking primary physical custody of their twins and spousal support from the 58-year-old actor. Kimberly claimed the marriage had “become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.”
Dennis Quaid then filed for divorce at the end of November. The actor had to wait is because of a California law that requires people to have a six month residency in the state before they can file for divorce.
Quaid purchased a $3.1 million home for Kimberly and their 5-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe. Under their divorce settlement, she and the children have exclusive occupancy of the house until the twins turn 18.
But now, the couple have reconciled but are unable to stop the divorce proceedings. Dennis and Kimberly could remarry, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
This is the third marriage for actor Dennis Quaid. He was previously married to actresses P.J. Soles (1978-1983) and Meg Ryan (1991-2001).
