Lupe Fiasco was reportedly kicked off the stage during his Inauguration performance, after bashing President Obama.
Fiasco had a chance to criticize Obama for his war policies and also stated that he didn’t vote for him, before being removed by security.
Lupe Fiasco was the main act for the show, spending 30 minutes on an anti-war song. The lyrics were, “And these the same people supposedly telling us the truth/ Limbaugh is a racist, Glenn beck is a racist, Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say sh*t/ That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either/ I’m part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful.”
An organizer of the show insisted that it wasn’t Fiasco’s lyrics that had him removed, claiming it was his “bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act.”
In 2011, the rapper from Chicago described President Obama as a terrorist.
Lupe Fiasco stated, “In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America.
“For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you as a government allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us because it’s really just some oil, which we can really get on our own.”
