Earlier this week, we reported that Lance Armstrong admitted to doping on Oprah Winfrey’s Next Chapter and now we have the video.
If Lance thought finally coming clean would help his reputation, he was sorely mistaken.
In the interview, Oprah questions the disgraced 7 time winner of the Tour de France about the doping scandal.
Lance Armstrong does admit doping, but doesn’t seem to feel bad about cheating and lying to the public.
Betsy Andreu, who testified that Lance Armstrong had used banned substances, was very upset with the disgraced cyclist’s interview.
Andreu told Anderson Cooper she was “really disappointed” with what Armstrong said in his Oprah interview.
“You owed it to me Lance, and you dropped the ball,” she said. “After what you’ve done to me, and what you’ve done to my family.”
Celebrities weighed in on the Lance Armstrong interview:
Andy Roddick: “Wow…..Oprah comes out very strong / Seriously????? Part 2??? Wtf??? Terrible and genius of Oprah all at the same time”
Piers Morgan: “The fact @lancearmstrong admits he had to look up what the word ‘cheat’ means, says all you need to know about the man. #LiveWrong”
Carson Daly: “Wow what a great 1st 20 mins to #Oprah interview with Lance. He is a cheater and liar. I’m embarrassed that I was such a fan for so long.”
Lena Dunham: “Despite the latest news my father will not stop using Lance Armstrong as an adjective for strength and determination.”
Seth Meyers: “Say what you will, he’s still the Lance Armstrong of d–kheads.”
Jack Osbourne: “Honestly I don’t care that Lance doped. He gave people hope and that’s more important [than] anything. So what if he lied. #livestrong”
Rashida Jones: “Great day for liars! They are dominating the news today. #CongratsUSA”
What did you think of Lance Armstrong’s interview? We’re surprised he even had the balls to do the interview. Oh wait…he doesn’t!
