Reese Witherspoon made an appearance on her friend Chelsea Handler’s late night talk show, where she was asked how she got pregnant.
The adorable actress also discussed her newborn son’s “redneck name”.
The “This Means War” star, 36, opened up about her three-month-old son, Tennessee, with her husband Jim Toth.
Nashville, Tennessee is the state where Reese was raised but realizes it sounds very country.
Chelsea, 37, started things off with a laugh by asking Reese, “How did you get pregnant?”
Witherspoon giggled and replied, “Umm… I don’t know. How do you think I got pregnant? Do you want to talk about this later? We don’t have to talk about it right now.”
Chelsea dryly shot back, “We don’t have to talk about it now, but I would prefer to.”
The talk show host revealed to the audience that when she asked the actress about the sex of the baby while pregnant that Reese “wouldn’t tell me if she was having a boy or girl.”
Handler said after the baby was born, “Then you had the baby and you named it Tennessee and I still couldn’t figure out if it was a boy or a girl.”
“Or just a redneck!” Reese replied laughing.
Reese Witherspoon gushed about her baby boy, saying he is “super cute”. Her two children – Deacon, 8, and Ava, 13, from her marriage to actor Ryan Phillipe are thrilled about their new sibling.
