Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has filed for divorce from his wife of 25 years, Julie Campbell.
The rock star filed the divorce paperwork in Los Angeles Country Superior Court, citing the same ole same ole “irreconcilable differences”.
Campbell, who joined Def Leppard in 1992, married Julie in 1987 and they have two daughters.
There are no gritty details on the reasons for their split, but it doesn’t appear too friendly. Vivian Campbell is asking the judge to deny spousal support.
The 50-year-old guitarist is well-known for his work with the heavy metal band Dio. He also played with Whitesnake in 1987, after john Sykes left the band.
Def Leppard recently hit the road for their tour, heading out with Poison and Lita Ford for their tour of the United States. They performed for fans at the Rock Fest on July 22.
The band will be performing at nine-show residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas beginning March 22 until April 10, 2013.
They will play songs from their Hysteria album.
Vivian and Julie have two daughters – 13-year-old Lily Rose and 11-year-old Una Marigold. Campbell is asking for joint legal and physical custody of them
