Funnyman David Walliams, 41, has announced that he and his wife Lara Stone are expecting their first child together!
Walliams spoke of his excitement of becoming a first-time daddy, after getting in a little practice with their adopted dog Bert.
The happy couple released a statement saying, “We’re very excited to announce we are expecting our first child. We’re both absolutely thrilled but ask you to please respect our privacy during this precious time.”
The comedic actor also updated his fans on Twitter, writing, “Some wonderful news. My beautiful wife Lara is pregnant. We are having a baby! It is due next year and we both couldn’t be happier. Dx (sic)”
Walliams is best known for his television series Little Britain, which he created and starred in alongside Matt Lucas.
David Walliams also joined the panel of “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2012 for its sixth series with Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon.
Walliams and Dutch-born model Lara Stone, 28, began dating in May 2009 and he proposed to the blonde beauty in 2010 with a vintage engagement ring.
Earlier this year, Lara revealed she and her husband had been practicing for parenthood by caring for their adopted dog Bert.
Lara jokingly stated, “We love him. A baby will probably never be as fun as Bert.”
